That's a very nice cover. But that version of Doc bears an uncanny resemblance to Boris Johnson. It's Ron Ely who played Doc in the film and Tarzan on TV. Actually Ely looked far more like the Doc Savage of the pulp novels than the Bama covers did. |

Ah, I'm not really familiar with the pulp novels-I only really know Doc through comics, beginning with the 70s Marvel stuff.

The Bama covers were modeled on Steve Holland, who posed for many paperbacks and men's adventure mag covers.  |
