From 1953, this cover by Marvin Stein features a line-up of the usual suspects: Ben Oda, letterer extraordinaire Simon Prize editor Joe Genola Mort Meskin Kirby I question the fairness of this line-up, giving how much taller than the others one of the suspects is.

MatthewP. If he hadn't beaten me to that cover, I probably would have posted it myself.

My vote goes for Rob Allen and his fairy tale Nixon/Lenon meeting. If the vote wasn't restricted to classic comics, I would probably have gone with the new Grumpy Cat comic, but, alas... Eye popin' Crumb cover of Charles Manson.

(though admittedly, I'm at something of a disadvantage here since, not being terribly familiar with American culture, I don't actually recognize half the people in this thread)

Again, many fun covers to choose from, but I'm going with Crimebuster's choice of Don Rickles on a cover of Jack Kirby's Jimmy Olsen comics because those are are the three most unlikely elements to be included in one sentence outside of "Anne Coulter," "welcomes," and "immigrants to America."
(The immortal blurbs don't hurt, either!)
Honorable Mention to Farrar for that awesome police line-up in-joke. Excellent!
