I just love how they almost completely block the Punisher's face with the logo.  This cover looks like the Punisher is having carnal knowledge of GR. |

That seems like a fairly generic post-McFarlane Spider-Man poster cover to me. I'm sure you can find several dozen worse in the bowels of the '90s. Yes I'm sure you could but that still doesn't change the fact that it's still a bad cover. I mean just look at the ripples on his back and arms that we are supposed to believe are muscles. |

Terrible artist and a stupid facial expression. Humberto Ramos usually draws people with giraffe necks and gumby bodies that bend in all directions. That, thankfully, is missing here. But that crazed look!!! And it's a #1 issue that makes it even worse  |

Worst Captain Marvel Cover I don't know that this has been covered yet ... but the three kids on this cover is like super-imposing a photograph on the cover and did a sloppy job putting it all together. I wouldn't a pay a penny for this issue because it's all done so poorly.

Rob Liefeld is the champion of bad covers. Look how badly the shield is drawn on this one. It's hard to understand how Liefeld could be this terrible. To be honest, some of his heavily inked stuff on New Mutants isn't that bad but his later stuff? Yuck.  |

All the photos were black and white which then had to be hand colored. Looking at this one now, it obvious that if the kids stood up they would be taller than CM. |

Kid in the corner is confused as to why he is on the cover of the book being read to him. Girl to the right is thinking "why is there a cartoon man in our living room". Kid on his lap is whispering "GET ME THE *&!& OUT OF HERE!"

It speaks to the desperation that Marvel had at the time , turning to the Image guys to save their company. They were even willing to let liefeld savage the look of Cap. |
