The answer is always #711. How could this guy not be more famous? For one thing, his origin is the greatest thing ever. And he's completely insane.

That is indeed me! Back when I decided to champion the cause of #711, the greatest (worst) superhero ever. I only know of him, honestly, because DC re-released Police Comics #1 as a Millennium Edition back in the, uh, turn of the millennium. There's someone elese in there who has a similar origin and is not insane. Back to Plastic Man. Jack Cole composition rules! I was happy enough to write about him here, www.comicscube.com/2012/12/reclaiming-history-jack-coles-plastic.html , even talking about his influence on Filipino comics for a bit. (And also, trying not to laugh every time I typed his name, because his name sounds close to the Filipino word for spanking the monkey. Clearly, I am 12.)

There are some great names and titles there. I'm almost glad there's no image to disappoint me for some of them: what visual design could possibly live up to King of Darkness?
