I like Mystique because I'm fascinated by shape-shifters. Did you ever read the Doctor Who Voyager graphic novel that Marvel UK published? There's a shape-shifter in that. (Frobisher.) You'd probably have to like Doctor Who though, but Frobisher is fun! Yes! Or at least some of it in DWM. John Ridgway was the best Doctor Who artist!

Gibbons is a good artist (not familiar with Haylock) but a bit cartoony in comparison. Ridgway made the characters look as close to their actors as possible. I feel like he was to DW what Al Williamson was to the Star Wars comic.

Ah, yeah, those are nice. I think all the comics I've read are from 4th-6th Doctor.

But Mystique is hot. The shape shifting power is kind of cool. Is she still Nightcrawlers mom ? I liked it better when she was supposed to be Nightcrawler's dad. There, I said it.

I always thought it was kind of silly that the Kingpin could match Spider-Man in a fight. If Daredevil can fight pretty evenly with him, he should be no match for Spidey!

In the comic book world, the Writers are God. Kingpin is as strong as he has to be to make a story entertaining.

I always thought it was kind of silly that the Kingpin could match Spider-Man in a fight. If Daredevil can fight pretty evenly with him, he should be no match for Spidey! Well he started out as a Spider-Man villain, not a Daredevil foe, so it's more likely he was toned down a bit to be a suitable opponent for ole Hornhead. I had a bunch of the early Kingpin-Spidey battles in Marvel Tales reprints as a kid and in ASM 197-198ish that I got off the stands and the narration always pointed out he was 300 pounds of pure muscle and about as strong as a man could be, playing up his strength as he opposed Spidey. By the time he became an antagonist for Daredevil it was more about his position in the underworld, his organization, his ruthlessness and his cunning than it was about his pure physical mass and strength, though he was still formidable. -M

Hawkman's headpiece only works in comics. It looks ridiculous otherwise.
There I said it.

The issue with Hawkman is that often the eyes on the mask don't seem to line up with the eyes on this head. I no-prized he just had some kind of Thanagarian periscope set-up in there to make it work.
