Not too keen on facial-hair Spidey...not to impugn those who look similar, just never imagined him looking like this. Especially weird because MJ's freckles make her look fourteen in contrast. Two red headed kids, who's the mailman ?

I love this cover in its goofiness. The magic was that it was a serious cover.

Was the Blue Bullet a new character, or from the Golden Age?
And I will clearly admit, that I think on a lot of the covers Kirby did when he returned to Marvel, he was phoning it in. There were covers that Stan, as editor, would have rejected. But there were more books and more so-so covers got through.

Many of those covers were laid out by other artists and Kirby did the finished product. I think Al Milgrom did layouts. But I love the goofy hands coming out of that bullet.

Yeah, a comic of someone getting punched by a giant bullet is pretty funny.

According to various sources, Blue Bullet was a new character Roy created for Invaders.

Roy was obsessed with using Golden age characters. I'm surprised this wasn't one of them.

I heard that women LOVE those types of beards. They are sexually attracted to that look.
