I want to see Metamorpho use his elemental changes for turning himself into a marijuana cloud in a battle so everyone stops fighting due to having the munchies! There, I said it!

But is cannabisium an element? I know you're being facetious, but they (meaning Haney) played fast and loose with the "element" thing--I think one of the first things he had Metamorpho turn into was hydrochloric acid.

I always resented heroes like Metamorpho, Firestorm and Captain Atom who have abilities to change any element or substance but are still c listers.

I think in some of the later Legion series, they tried to show just how powerful Element Lad could be in an effort to give him some cosmic cred like Ultra Boy, Mon-El and Superboy. Not sure it ever took..

Early on, Firestorm had the limiting factor of not knowing the science of stuff well enough to really use his power. It's too bad they never explored that in the various iterations... it could be really fun.

Now there's a crossover idea: Metamorpho meets The Shmoo! Both could turn into all kinds of things... but only one resembled the beloved Dogpatch ham.

It's too bad they never explored that in the various iterations... it could be really fun. Firestorm also was supposed to be unable to affect/change/create anything in relation to living tissue as humanity and animals and creatures are too complex and also have "minds/brains/souls". One time the writer's had Firestorm create Kryptonite to weaken Superman which is totally beyond his abilities. How and where would he have the knowledge of what makes up Kryptonian "soil" and also the specifics of irradiating it correctly to becoming something which would affect Supes? They have gone way "off" in how Firestorm's power should function so I won't even begin down that path!!! Lazy writers just have him create anything the plot demands.

Comichron reports that The Infinity Gauntlet is the best-selling graphic novel of 2018.
On the one hand, that's nice. It's a great story.
On the other hand, though, it is a 27-year-old story. With some of us concerned about the future of the industry, I am dismayed, ever so slightly, that the best-selling graphic novel is an old story.
Be interesting to know how many of those who bought it were young (perhaps having seen Infinity War) and how many were older fans.

You have to consider that much of the sales for the Graphic Novel in 2018 were driven from all those whose 1st exposure to Thanos and the Gauntlet are from the Avengers movie and wanted more or to learn more. All of us "old timers" either have the series or earlier TPB's already.

Well at least people aren't still talking about Watchmen and Dark Knight.

Wishing DC and Marvel would still collaborate. They missed a trick in 2016, the 40th anniversary of Superman VS The Amazing Spider-Man. They could have published a Supes/Spidey team-up, which would have been their third. I mean, three is a good number, right? Three parts of an egg, water in three forms, film trilogies, Holy Trinity, etc. I was thinking about ideas recently: Green Lantern Corps in the Negative Zone, Aquaman VS Hydro-Man (predictable, I know), the Flash teaming up with Nova, etc. Will DC and Marvel ever collaborate again? If they did they need to make Dr Strange and Adam Strange cousins.
