Archie's been all in for horror recently - for the first time since the '70s, right? I believe this is the first time since the Red Circle days that they have done serious horror. They've had horror-themed issues of their usual kid-friendly books occasionally in between, particularly in the original Life with Archie series, but though some of those approached true horror at times, it wasn't really the same as Red Circle or the current Archie Horror books. There were two issues of this, though, while drawn in Archie house style, didn't include any of the regular characters beside Sabrina as narrator.

In the context of this one in particular, I think the most unrealistic part is her carrying that big old sword in a high school. Yeah, only the teachers should be allowed to carry swords in school. Then you get some untrained teacher, whose sword goes off in the middle of class and you have lawsuits.

I wish my wallet would have a crossover with way way way too much money.

On the other hand Count Dracula as part of the Marvel 'universe' has never worked for me... Good point. It does feel odd. I know it goes against the "superheroes shouldn't kill", but I have always found that argument to be too simplistic. No-one wants to kill, but if I had the opportunity to push a terrorist off a cliff before he could detonate a bomb, sure I'd take it! So one might expect that the various superheroes might have an interest in ending the Count's existence once and for all.

I haven't followed a mainstream comic since 1983 because of that very thing. I love my pre 1984 books, but mainstream and non-mainstream books have only gotten better as time goes on. To each his own.

I read this as "Count Chocula" at first, which made for a very interesting comic book image. Do they have Count Chocula in the UK?

I want to live there for your cheap rents, the lack of a TV licence (I hate paying for a TV licence), your road trips, your culture, etc, etc. But I also want to live in Canada too.

Detroit's your place. Very affordable, great base for road trips, a mecca of American culture, and Canada's right across the river from us!

Not sure about that, doesn't RoboCop live there?
I think I would love to be near the US/Canada border, to be honest.

FWIW, Bronze Age Batman had no compunction about throwing a would-be assassin to his death, then joking about it to the corpse.
