]I have the Valiant Classic Archer and Armstrong omnibus from a couple of years ago... a couple of things to be warned of.... The book is well-made and oversized, like the Marvel and DC omnibi, but the comics are reproduced at the original size, with a thick black border around every page, to fill the space around the art. In other words, it's oversized for no reason, whatsoever. Also, the art is scanned directly from the original printed comics... not from the original Black and White art and recolored. Neither of these things bother me, since I bought the book at a deep discount (about 30% of original price). If I had paid full price, I would have returned it. From what I remember from an episode of Only The Valiant podcast, Dinesh Shamdasani (former CEO & Chief Creative Officer of Valiant) stated that Acclaim basically took the original artwork with them before the buyout so they've never had access to it to begin with But yeah, I knew that. I think it would have been better if they just went the Marvel Epic Collection route tbh

Does anybody ever look in the sky and see a bird and shout out "Look it's a bird!".

Does anybody ever look in the sky and see a bird and shout out "Look it's a bird!". Only if there's also a plane flying over as well.

Does anybody ever look in the sky and see a bird and shout out "Look it's a bird!". Lisa Simpson, to distract Maggie, in the woods. I sounds better if someone goes "Look; it's a bird!" "That's a plane!" "No, it's Superman!" If someone says "It's a frog," it is Underdog.

And how does this even look like a bird or a plane?

Does anybody ever look in the sky and see a bird and shout out "Look it's a bird!". No but I am tempted to at every opportunity now - though that would mean leaving the house during daylight hours which is a rare event these days.
"...look! It's a bat!" doesn't have the same ring to it somehow.

Looks a lot more like a frog. ... You've apparently got some weird-looking frogs in Idaho...

I've never read a Valiant book, or Malibu, and still couldn't care less to.
There, I turned up my nose.

I feel like you're missing out, but that's your choice
I miss the Malibu Ultraverse a lot. I wish Marvel would just sell off the license instead of just hoarding it like they are with Crossgen

I have to admit to being a bit of a spending fool in the 90's. I bought every new superhero comic universe- Topps, Malibu, DH, Valiant, Image and smoothers that escape my mind. There were gems in each company but the competition was fierce and when the dust cleared many companies went under. Maybe one day you will get to read some of these books and have a different opinion .

Even though it's a common comic book trope, I enjoy storylines where a hero loses his powers.
There I said it.
