I hate that THE WEST COAST AVENGERS became AVENGERS WEST COAST. Whose bright idea was that? Doesn’t roll off the tongue as naturally. Suppose I set up a business (I’ll call it Auto Parts). What rolls off the tongue more naturally if I set up a Californian offshoot? West Coast Auto Parts or Auto Parts West Coast? Who can I complain to at Marvel? Quick, nobody tell driver about Force Works!

Oooooof. I just read an article on the current high level plot of the X-books, and...wow. Granted it's just a summary, and the actual issues might be better than the Cliff's notes, but it sounds awful. Comic books are one of the reasons I don't read comic books right now. There, I said it. I'm not up to speed on the most recent books, but a good friend of mine strongly recommended House of X/Powers of X written by Jonathan Hickman when that came out. I actually DID like Hickman a bit on his FF run, as far as modern comics go. More his ideas, his character dialogue I thought was flat. The X-books were terrible though, I couldn't even recognize what he was trying to do with the characters. Any sense of nobility was just completely lost. I actually think it was the worst X-Men I have ever read, and I've read some pretty bad X-titles over the years! I read House/Powers and they weren't bad. When the ongoings came out, I picked up X-Men and Marauders. Dropped X-Men after issue #10, as it was horrible, but did keep up with Marauders until the end, as Emma Frost and Kate Pryde are two of my favorite characters. .

I all but dropped my Marvel books around the time of Avengers vs. X-Men, and from the little I've read in this or that article, I do not regret my decision.

Seriously though I have not read it since I bought them in the 90's. But I do remember liking the concept of Century.

Hope he adopts it in the new movie or we at least get a new action figure of it

Quick, nobody tell driver about Force Works! They did it so the books would be next to each other at stores that were displaying them in alphabetical order... the changed Solo Avengers to Avengers Spotlight at the same time (and discussed it in the soapbox in the comics) Force Works was fantastic.... I miss when there was an Iron Man family of titles, and I loved Century. Stupid Crossing.

I've read a bit of the X-Books... no real interest in the big plot, but Way of X, where Nightcrawler explores the possibility of a Mutant religion, is really good.
I do like the mutant nation concept, but they haven't really done it in a compelling way yet after several attempts, so maybe it just doesn't work.

Books from Dabel Bros can be very rare, only 600 copies of The Meg were printed and finding one in NM is even more difficult. I managed to get one in NM and another with a couple small dings, but still sought after. as they're so scarce. Wondering how a publisher makes money with only 600 copies?

Paid promotion. Without knowing the contracts, it is possible that they were approached to do a tie-in as part of the marketing of the film, which was charged against the production's marketing budget.

Ohh.....thanks for that. A graphic novel did get released subsequently but the actual comic is a nugget.

Ultron is an overrated one-note villain. There, I said it.

Kang is awesome. So sorry I never acquired his Secret Wars Mattel figure. I always had a problem with Time travel villains. They should never be defeated.
