*eyes his entire collection of Youngblood*
I mean we all make some bad decisions when we were young.

And I'm going to be buried with my Wacky Packages cards and there's nothing you can do to stop me!

Mine would have been thinking Ultimate Spider-Man (2000) was just another Spider-Man Chapter One wannabe and passing it by initially...and then when I did get interested, it was selling for $50.00. I did get one and wondered 'how do I get my money back?' AND I HAD AN EPIPHANY....start selling books too. My dealer had a crush on me (he was barely 18 himself, just got his credit card and was ready to be the next Chuck Rozanski)....ahh, to be in my teens again....

Just have to get this off my chest...
Keith Pollard is criminally underrated. He nails that classic Bronze Age smooth heroic illustration for me and had great runs on some of my favorite titles as a kid. And he constantly gets ignored or "he was OK but.."
I will take his art over at least 95% of what was to come later. There, I said it.

I just started Captain America: Reborn, and there's something called the Dark Avengers. Norman Osborn is alive again and wearing some sort of Iron Man outfit. Bullseye is wearing Hawkeye's costume. Hank Pym is the Wasp. My head is reeling.

My favorite part of this is the addition of Laura down in the corner!

I really thought he would have been a household name, but he never was. Super underrated.

At any rate, just make sure that when someone accidentally stumbles into the comics store, looking for the characters they sorta know, it's as confusing as possible.

I actually liked the concept of Dark Avengers. After Civil War, Norman Osborn capitalizes on the chaos and brings back his own team of Avengers, giving the public something familiar yet ultimately sinister. Bullseye as Hawkeye, Karla Sofen as Ms. Marvel, Daken as Wolverine, and Mac Gargan as Venom, along with Ares and Sentry. His own team of super-“heroes” working his agenda while garnering public trust and adoration.

It's not confusing at all, if you've actually been reading comics since the 2000's.
