It's interesting to note that the secret Identity convention was more popular and used more by DC. Marvel didn't really build too many stories around the fear of being outed. There were 3 Silver Age Marvel covers that I was considering for this topic, none of which have been posted here--yet. Great Gil Kane cover btw!

But to explain my point- Marvel dealt with the internal conflicts more than someone discovering an ID.

Marvel dealt with the internal conflicts more than someone discovering an ID. Respectfully disagree, at least in the earliest of days. For example, Hulk, Iron Man, and Thor (in particular!) went to extraordinary and absurd lengths to guard their true identities. I've been re-visiting Journey Into Mystery and similarities to the Schiff/Weisinger-era Superman abound.

Yes, well, on that : DC's main two secret identities are embraced by powerfull and financially independent being (Bats and supes), while Marvel's aren't (Spidey and DD), which is why it's been and still is one of their main dynamics since day one.

Power has nothing to do with it. These characters don't want anyone to viciously kill their families and friends.

Not what I'm saying, the consequences are much different, much more dangerous for DD and Spidey, which is why it's still editorially at the core of those characters, IMHO.

ATTENTION MEMBERS WINDY DAY IN SEATTLE GREATER AREA STARTING TONIGHT AND TOMORROW UNTIL 4PM
I'm going to try to vote my entry around 12:15 in the morning on Tuesday AM ... We should have very windy day and in my area 20-27 MPH Winds and potentially gusting up to 45-50 MPH winds and I may not be able to notify the next week winner. I'm asking someone here to take over the count and so forth; and notifying the winner for me.
I'm predicting a steady 20-25 mph from 2AM to 2PM a 12 Hours Window of Unpredictable Winds and all.

jodoc. The dog in me is wondering why they aren't "x-raying" Lana and seeing the goods. Or maybe they have done it so many times that they are trying something new ?

Jezebel Bond. Shocking, dramatic cover. Honorable mentions to Hoosier X and Farrar.
