I gotta go with Roy and Big John
To me, their run on Conan is the high water mark of the 70's (which I would also consider the greatest decade for comics).
Not to mention their stint on the Avengers in the late 60's/early 70's.
I know Stan Lee and Jack Kirby are held in extremely high regard (rightfully so) for creating an everlasting universe from the ground up, but in terms of just pure literary prowess and artistic skill, I have to go with Thomas/Buscema.
