One I did for two of my kids while I waited for them at one of their clubs: Obviously I tarted it up a bit and coloured in photoshop - what I drew for them was in pencil - and I completely reworked panel 7 when Mrs Wife and other Daughter didn't instantly understand what was going on.

The new comic arrived from the printers! Woohoo! And yes, it is one comic - two covers the whole book printed tête-bêche to make it look like we have more product on the table than we do. I now have three fewer copies than when I opened the box: My mum has one copy, as do Frank Quitely, and John Wagner - who I met in Glasgow this afternoon at the 9 Panels Conference - probably not the most efficient distribution ever - but bloody quality.

I was chuckling and giggling when I saw the last panel and the way you've scripted it is priceless!

I was chuckling and giggling when I saw the last panel and the way you've scripted it is priceless! Thank you. This was one of those scripts that just arrived fully formed. I was driving one of my kids home from some after-school activity, thinking about not much in particular, when I thought I hadn't done a strip about this guy for a while - so I went to visit him in my head to see what he was up to - and he dictated this to me. When I got home I grabbed a piece of paper and got it down before I forgot it, or messed it up by trying to 'improve' it. I know it sounds weird having imaginary people tell you gags - but this does sometimes happen and I LOVE it. Other times getting something funny out of the buggers like drawing teeth - you struggle away and, sometimes, get there eventually .
