Had some good classics (Super-villain Team up, Lois Lane) this month... a bit of Cerebus.. I kinda decided to wait until we start posting about it... that should be good for February.

January draws to a close, and I read a lot of comics...272. A lot of it was via Marvel Unlimited, so it skewed Marvel heavy. Wow! That's a lot of comics! 9 per days? I which I had the time to rad that much! Can't wait to retire in...30 years

I which I had the time to rad that much! Can't wait to retire in...30 years I work nights, so I am home alone during the day, no kids to take care of (just a few pets), so especially during colder weather, I read a lot during the day. With Marvel Unlimited and modern 6 issue trades, I find I can read 6-10 comics in about a 2 hour span, so I get a lot of reading done. For older stuff, or if I am dragging out individual issues, the pace is slower. -M

continued my tour of recent Marvle cosmic stuff, reading a chunk of the Abnett/Lanning Nova series, the first half of their Guardians of the Galaxy series and the War of Kings cross-over event and some tie ins. At worst, it was solid stuff, with some of it being really good. I had really enjoyed the era, but there were too many crossovers for my taste. I loved Annihilation, was less thrilled by Conquest and kind of threw my arms up around War of Kings. I worked to collect all the War of Kings stuff in trade and have read most of it, but stopped there. Crossovers just stall me too much. I wish both Nova and Guardians of the Galaxy had been given more time to just be their own thing.

I have read 11 comics for the month. All either film adaptations, licensed comics, or comics based on properties that have been adapted to film, to fit in with Trevor's monthly challenge. A slow month for me due in part to school and work.
Did not like the Bill & Ted comic, won't bother with the rest of that series. Enjoyed all the Marvel mags. I'll finish the 30 Days Of Night series as well.
For February I'll also be participating in the Eisner nominated challenge, and it will probably be a slow month for me as well. We'll see what I can dig up.

Because of things with my Mom I haven't been reading many comics. I did read Willie & Joe: Back Home by Bill Mauldin. I have absolutely no idea how to count it toward my list though.

I count the number of pages and divide by 22 That's the method I go with too, it's not perfect but that's okay.

I go more by how long it takes me to read.... I'm not going to count a manga that took 45 minutes as 10 issues, for instance. I go with more like 15 minutes = 1 comic... give or take.

Top 3 for February Le Bar du Vieux Français (Best thing I've read in a while) War Stories TPB #3 by Garth Ennis Revolver by Matt Kindt
Special mention to Alias (Jessica Jones), it was great, but only read 3 issues. Will definitely try to find the other issues.

More than tripled my reading from last month, thanks in large part to finally cracking open that Usagi Yojimbo book. Lots of good stuff, nothing I didn't particularly enjoy.

Didn't read as much as last month, but still managed the equivalent of 227 comics for Feb, so hit the 500 mark for the year so far.
Highlights for Feb included new volumes of Lazarus and The Fade Out, finishing Priest's Black Panther run, the B&B JLA stories, some classic Cap and Iron Man in Tales of Suspense (read the Sleeper story in Cap and the start of Happy as the freak in Shellhead), early Buscema era Conan in CTB, some Sixth Gun and Fear Agent, the 1946-1948 BPRD omnibus and Hellboy and the BPRD 1952 trade.

I'm getting my Superman and Batman team up fix not by watching a new movie, but by rereading old issues of World's Finest.

March draws to a close and it was another heavy reading month for me-the equivalent of 274 comics making 774 for the year to date.
Lots of highlights for the month, including most of the stuff I read for Will Eisner's Read A Graphic Novel month.
My favorite new discovery was the Barbarian Lord OGN, but other highlights of the month included Bendis' Alias run (I read vol. 1-3 or #1-21), Druillet's Delirius, Brubaker's Scene of the Crime, Grell's Longbow Hunters, Vaughan and Martin's Private Eye, the earliest issues of BAron and Rude's Nexus (1-3 of the magazine and the first 6 issues of the comic), plus some Lee/Kirby FF, the first 2 issues of Justice League of America, Showcase 55 with Solomon Grundy facing off with Dr. Fate and Hourman, some Iron Man and Captain America from Tales of Suspense, some of the Heroes Return Cap, Thor, Iron Man and Avengers, Perez's Wonder Woman, another volume of Bunn's Sixth Gun, and more.
Most disappointing was the 2010 Zatanna series which started out with such promise by Paul Dini but then got mangled and abandoned by the Flashpoint/new52 redo leaving several storylines and subplots just abandoned and unresolved for all eternity.
Now let's see what April brings in my year of the big read.
