I don't get it either, but I think these types of YouTube vids -- just like all reality TV, and, to a lesser degree, soap operas -- appeal to certain people's voyeuristic tendencies. I also suspect that the majority of viewers of this kind of thing -- although not all -- have rather boring, empty lives themselves. As I say to my daughter when I see her watching those kinds of videos on YouTube: "Instead of watching other people do things and live life, why don't you do things and live life. I bet you'll get more out of it." That usually earns me an eyeroll or two, but if I can plant the seed and get it to sprout, it's worth the momentary scorn. Re: the bolded text -- yes, absolutely agree. Kids have little concept of their time alive being limited (obviously, because they're young), but if you can at least make them think about the ephemeral nature of life and the all too short time we have on this mortal coil, then you're doing a great service to them as a parent. Life is what you make it, and you only get out of life what you put in. Those are important life lessons for any child to learn. Good parenting there, Captain.

Will Smith: an actor who plays the same damn character in most of the mediocre films he stars in.

You mean smart black guy with attitude? Yeah I guess, and i always thought Deniro played the same character on all his movies. It’s what people want to see.

Will Smith: an actor who plays the same damn character in most of the mediocre films he stars in. The only film Will Smith has made that was worth a damn was Ali. Up til then I'd always thought he was a terrible actor, but he's great in that movie. I think it's probably closer to the truth to say that he's actually quite a good actor who chooses terrible films to be in most of the time.

I had a great day at Disney World and everyone is sound asleep and I'm still awake and we are staying an extra two days in Disney World because there is so much to do. More to share in a day or two. The reason for this post is the fact that I added four more characters. For DC Comics ... Mr. Terrific and Vixen in her original suit and of course the original Mr. Terrific that I find have a special meaning to my heart. For Marvel it is Elektra for her association with Daredevil; and Iceman with my favorite Spiderman Animated Series ... Spiderman, and his Amazing Friends and I chose that picture in that cartoon for my animated gif. I also added two additional pictures too ... Favorite DC Logo and Marvel too. So, you'll be seeing 106 pictures from now on. I created this avatar while everyone is sleeping and will be watching Sportscenter soon and then, I'm off to bed too.

I don’t care one way or the other about Marvel rehiring James Gunn for the GOG movie. People are ultra over reacting to anything posted in social media these days. Not to mention something someone said years ago when they might have been a different person altogether.

Not to mention something someone said years ago when they might have been a different person altogether. I’m even sad Gunn felt the need to say he was sorry. It’s the smart move to make, sure, but he hadn’t done anything reprehensible beyond telling bad jokes.

I felt the same way about Roseanne. She’s a comedian, and the context is there for sick tasteless jokes.

Will Smith is the Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Anything following that I’ll agree has been meh. Though I do like Men in Black but not just because of Will Smith.

I'm back in my hotel and getting ready for Dinner and checking my email and sorts and enjoying my time in Disney World and there are so many things to see and all that. We are leaving Disney World on Tuesday, to fly back to Atlanta and stay overnight on Tuesday ... have a farewell time together in Atlanta and come back home on Thursday around 3pm Seattle time.
My favorite is Epcot Park ... spent the whole day (today) there!

David Letterman is the worst professional comedian. His sneering, ironic disdain for everything he did and his general "I am above this" demeanor was both juvenile in a teenage eye-rolling way and highly unpleasant.
If you think you should be doing better material, do better material. If you think you should be talking more intelligently about smarter things, talk more intelligently about smarter things. Adolescent ironic distance is the first resort of the emotionally stunted.

One thing I have learnt from watching 80s action shows (such as The A-Team) is that no matter what city a person is in, they have an intimate knowledge of the streets. Hey, they missed their calling, they should have been taxi drivers.
And this was before the SatNav was a thing.
Suppose some Los Angeles-based good guys are in, New York or Las Vegas. They'll arrive to take part in an assignment/mission. They'll invariably have cars. And they'll know the streets intimately.
Despite perhaps never visiting a city previously - and think about how big cities can be and how many streets there are - someone like Face or Hannibal will be in trouble. Despite being new to the streets of a city, another character, such as B.A. or Murdock, will get on the radio and say, "I'm three blocks away. Let me head West and I'll provide you with some assistance."
And it happens everywhere. In lots of shows. A cop based on the West Coast may visit, say, Chicago for ONE episode. He'll arrive. Action will kick off. And it's straight in the car and something like, "You're where? I'm two blocks east of there. On my way."
These characters must have had an A-Z implanted in a chip in their heads.
And it's the same in foreign countries. Now, you can understand someone like the A-Team landing in, say, Ecuador and knowing their way. They are military men and no doubt have a compass on them. But all sorts of characters, not necessarily military, can land in the most remote region and find an old Jeep or plane. And they'll always know where to go.
Like I said, if they ever retire from the action business, they could always be taxi drivers!
