It is sad to read these things today ... and this kind of things sickening to me to have people vandalized any personal property these days. It's breaks my heart.

I'm not sure that's anything new. It's really a version of a big monkey hits a medium-sized monkey, then the medium-sized monkey hits a little monkey, and the little monkey having nobody smaller to hit goes berzerk on a tree branch. Those teen vandals are just the little monkeys right now. I'm not into halloween but it's probably not even really about that. Like most swastika graffiti doers probably know nothing much about history and are just aware it's a super bad thing, like a three year old that learns the F word or something.

I don't watch Arrow, Supergirl, The Flash, Black Lightning, and any other Superhero shows on Television ... including the new Batwoman show. I'm probably the only member here that does that ... and there I said it on this thread. I spend too much time watching movies, documentaries, and old sitcoms to fuel my entertainment needs.

I watched the first season of Supergirl but otherwise I don't either. My taste runs more to police procedurals, the occasional sitcom, and the Seahawks so when I do make time for TV (which isn't that often these days thanks to my work), it's devoted to stuff like the three NCISes and Young Sheldon.

I don't watch any of those shows either. In fact, I'd go further and say that I have never seen any comic superhero-related TV show that I've thought was any good. And that includes so-called classics like the old 60s Batman TV show. They are all, without exception, utter tosh. I prefer my comic heroes on the comic page...not on the TV screen.

I watch those NCIS shows and Lieutenant Kenda, Homicide Detective and most of the time glued to Movies Channel and TCM. I do watch Hawaii Five-O occasionally.

My friend Jeff and I have all the DC Archives and Marvel Masterworks and we keep them in Jeff's basement and I'm trying to read all of them by the Spring of 2020. Currently on pace to get them all read by that time.

I've given some a try but only stuck with the Supergirl tv series (sometimes barely, but it has had some really good moments). Also the first season of Doom Patrol and Legion (the New Mutants character) were worth one watch, but very experimental and could just be annoying. You aren't missing all that much truthfully, none are up there with Foyle's War or Inspector George Gently, nor a really well done documentary... more like at best a decent modern Star Trek (TNG, DS9 or Voyager anyway). I haven't seen any of the new Swamp Thing or (Alfred) Pennyworth, so can't speak for those two. I much prefer the animated DC tv (and the very little I've seen of Marvel's animated series).

I don't watch them, either. I like good writing and strong characterization in five 8-to-13-episode seasons or less. The CW's super operas certainly don't offer that.

Years back I really enjoyed Smallville. It had an excellent cast but I dropped it around season 5. I watched most of that time travel show that featured Firestorm, I forget the name.

I saw a couple of Smallvilles with some Legion Of Super-Heroes guests and thought that was pretty cool. DC's Legends Of Tomorrow was the time-travel show with Firestorm. It started out good but I lost track of it and then couldn't follow it.

and most of the time glued to Movies Channel and TCM. I saw a short MGM color feature on TCM about New York City circa 1946 last night. It was shown after The Member Of The Wedding movie. I was wondering what the actual year it was made was. There was a scene of the site where they were going to build the United Nations building, so that wasn't started yet but had been announced. Sometimes the non-movies are the best things on TCM!

I wished that I watch that too ... my most recent one in they showed a short clip on Victoria and Vancouver B.C. in the late 30's or 40's and seeing Butchart Gardens, Empress Hotel, and everything else was golden. I watched those when I can and I usually see 3-4 of them a month. Non-Movies are great on TCM!

Sounds like Mighty Manhattan,New York's Wonder City, which was made in 1949. I saw it some years ago, though I don't remember where. Anyway, some of it is available on YouTube (seems to be missing the last part).

Years back I really enjoyed Smallville. It had an excellent cast but I dropped it around season 5. I dunno about the cast. The Kents, Luthors, and Chloe were all excellent, but Tom Welling, Kristin Kreuk, and Sam Jones III had all the personality and charm of dead wood.
