Tie a Yellow Ribbon Around Your Mouth The best I can say for KTT now is that it isn't half as annoying as Tie a Yellow Ribbon. It's weird. I have a peculiar and bad association with tony Orlando and Dawn. I can't hear them without having flashbacks of my parents fighting.

"Knock three times" by Tony Orlando and Dawn is one of the greatest songs ever made. There I said it. Tie a Yellow Ribbon Around Your Mouth I will. But I'm still going to hum it...

What does this mean? I hope it's not in reference to the dogs in the previous posts.

"Knock three times" by Tony Orlando and Dawn is one of the greatest songs ever made. There I said it. Greater than "Come A Little Bit Closer" by Jay & the Americans? Naw. But it's still a great song. For some reason when I hear one it associates with the other.

What does this mean? I hope it's not in reference to the dogs in the previous posts. Well, it does resemble a wrinkly David Bowie before his morning coffee, and Bowie looked like one of the dogs above... so I'd say yes.

To be honest working a 5am-1pm shift in a convenience store that's the physical representation of the aura of most people that roll out of bed and get their first coffee of the day outside of the house. I'd rather take the Friday and Saturday night drunks trying to buy more. Caffeine addicts don't get the negative publicity other addicts do. There I said it. ;-)

Whoa...I totally see David Bowie in your dog Luke. I think it's the shape of the eyes. Also, Luke and Bowie each have (or had , in Bowie's case) different colored eyes. Thanks for posting your pooch pics, coldwater and Gene--your dogs are beautiful!

The entire funeral industry is a huge scam designed to prey on people when they are vulnerable. I didn't give in to the pressure, but it was still distasteful.
There. I said it.

Unfortunately, they are a necessary evil. I guess it's best to pre- arrange a funeral to try to avoid being ripped off when everyone is grieving.

The entire funeral industry is a huge scam designed to prey on people when they are vulnerable. I didn't give in to the pressure, but it was still distasteful. There. I said it. Seconded with strong conviction! I am furthermore disgusted by the way laws over here are on the side of the industry. You don't get to bury your dead yourself even if you have the means to do it in a safe, ecological and healthy way, no: you have to go through a professional provider of funeral services. One that will tell you must pay for embalming even if you want the body cremated (for "technical reasons", naturally). One that will likely try to convince you that your departed one "deserves" this or "would have wanted" that. Like the #%$ bronze coffin someone tried to get my grandmother to buy for a deceased husband. I'm not against paying tens of thousands of dollars for a nice funeral if that's what people want, but the obligation for grieving people to pay through the nose for goods and services they don't want strikes me as obscene. It's not as if mankind hasn't disposed of dead bodies, respectfully and without harm to society and the environment, for hundreds of thousands of years.
