To be honest, when I mentioned this to my brother, he said, “This, coming from a guy who eats plain crisps.” Yes, I mainly eat plain crisps. So who am I to criticise vanilla? I really need to eat more British snack-foods. All I've had so far is Monster Munch (very strong taste, like Pickled Onion the most), Licorice All-Sorts (black licorice by itself is honestly disgusting), and Jelly Babies (good, but a little too sweet).

Those are all great. Are there any shops over there that sell U.K. snacks? I can really recommend Refreshers, they are fantastic sweets.

Those are all great. Are there any shops over there that sell U.K. snacks? Not too many but World Market comes to mind, they're kind of pricey though. It was like $4 for a regular sized bag of Jelly Babies. Publix, a grocery chain, has a few as well in their international section, but all I've had from there so far is Irn Bru (which while "okay", wasn't for me. Tasted like drinking orange bubble gum) I can really recommend Refreshers, they are fantastic sweets. What are they like? Because they seem like a cross between Smarties and Fruit Mentos

I would say closer to Love Hearts and Mentos, not so much Smarties.

I could eat this cereal all day long. I have eaten almost an entire box a few times. I don't do it anymore, cause I don't wanna lapse into a diabetic coma ...

I’m trying the Taffymail subscription box which features a selection of US chocolates/snacks. There will be a cereal in my box, I wonder what it’ll be?

It's been so long since I've had either that I can barely remember what they tasted like. I do remember getting a box of Golden Crisp from a nearby gas station when I stayed with my Dad specifically because it had Nogglevision glasses for an event that Nickelodeon was having where they would air shows in mind-numbing, life-altering 3D!
I'm something of a cereal geek myself. I think my all time favorites are Banana Nut Cheerios, Berry Berry Kix, and Coco Pebbles

Currently alternate every few months when shopping: Captain Crunch, Corn Flakes, Cinnamon Crisps, Golden Crisp, Cocoa Puffs, Fruity/Cocoa Pebbles. Like a nice cold bowl of cereal during the hot days of summer as my dinner. Quick, easy, filling and light on the tummy.
Growing up: Quisp, Quake, Count Chocula and Frankenberry. The latter 2 just are NOT the same taste/flavor I remember. I also miss Frosted Alphabet or Frosted Cheerio's.

We currently live in a world where these three abominations to mankind are allowed to exist

With so many great ice cream flavours to choose from, why on earth would any human being choose...vanilla? There, I said it. I've been known to walk into Baskin-Robbins and order a triple scoop of vanilla. Food of the f'ing gods, and I'll fight anybody who suggests otherwise.
Also, Iim old enough to remember when Honey Smacks and Golden Crisp proudly bore the names Sugar Smacks and Sugar Crisp. Likewise, Kellogg's Corn Pops were Sugar Pops. Ah, for the days when cereals were proud of their piss-poor nutritional value.
Cei-U! I summon my impending fogeydom!

Weren't Snickers and Payday a long time ago commended for their ability to give, to quote an old muppets RC cola ad, "quick fresh energy" to the eatee?

We only ever got Frosted Flakes/Frosties and Alphabits for sugar cereals when I was little, outside of those two I remember the rare times I managed to find out what something advertised Saturday Mornings was like at someone else's house, or like the one box of Trix brought back from a trip to the States (not on sale in my part of Canada) and it came with a three-pronged boomerang toy... I still have never experienced Fruity or Cocoa Pebbles, nor Cocoa Puffs, nor probably a half dozen others (I think Quisp was just before my time). The one time I ever got Booberry, Frankenberry and Count Chocula I bought them myself, they had cut-out masks on the back. Sugar Crisp I think had a record on the back that actually played! I understand any kind of toy or enticement with cereal is forbidden in Canada now. No, mostly we had the add your own sugar cereals... Shreddies (which I grew to really hate), Muffets (like Wheetabix), Rice Crispies, plain Puffed Rice, Special K (my Mom liked that), and instant oatmeal you added hot water to. I have no idea why Frosted Flakes and Alphabits were allowed and others not, but then we could have comic books and I knew various kids who were forbidden them. Our Froot Loops had a Turtle on the box too, the only place I saw the Toucan with the rainbow bill was on the tv. I fondly remember some sort of honey ball cereal that may have had the Winnie The Pooh character on the box (Honey Munch or Honey Crunch). I also loved Apple Jacks... like Froot Loops only all apple-cinnamon. Do they still make either anywhere? We always have had Maynard's Wine Gums around which is British. There were Canadian candy/choco bars too but I might get some of them wrong, I think Eat-More and Coffee Crisp are two only in Canada bars. While in the U.S. I would find Three Musketeers an exotic treat! We still have Hawkin's Cheezies snacks that go rock hard stale after sitting not too long but are amazing when they're fresh, and Old Dutch Potato Chips/Crisps (I prefer the half salt), I hope they never go under! All kinds of Vachon cakes as well like Jos Louis.

Froot Loops and Apple Jacks are both staples of the cereal aisle here in the States (though I don't eat either one).

Imagine being Kevin Conroy and just getting some gig voicing Batman in some 90’s kid’s animated TV show and literally becoming the voice of the Batman.
There I said it.
