I could make a way better Egg Mcmuffin than they can.
I just cannot eat heavy stuff like that in the morning.

Slither was quite good. Not everyone can appreciate horror with -- or for that matter without -- a humorous twist, obviously. They have some familiar faces in that car.

I don't eat much for breakfast. I'll make them for myself for dinner. I rarely eat breakfast at all. Lunch (or supper to some in southern USA) is usually my first meal of the day.

Maybe it's because my mother insisted my sister and I eat each morning. And to keep the thread on topic. Speaking of breakfast food; oatmeal is terrible. There I said it.

My metabolism is going too much in the morning because I drink 24 oz. of coffee, and then wash that down with half a quart of water. Plus, running around doing things in the morning. I have to eat.

Otherwise, I was thinking of American Werewolf in London just a couple of days ago. Someone -- maybe Rue Morgue, maybe Fangoria (which alas has been online-only for the last year) -- ran a decent retrospective on it quite recently, or at least I only saw/noticed it a few days ago. It's about as good as horror/humor gets, though Shaun of the Dead, Tucker & Dale vs. Evil & (far less known, but quite good IMHO) Deadheads are definitely worth looking up as well. And Reanimator. And Return of the Living Dead. And Fido. And The Rise of Leslie Vernon. And How to be a Serial Killer. And ... ... OK, there've been a fair few. And if you go back to the '60s, Comedy of Terrors. And of course the Abbott & Costello flicks ... Definitely have to agree on the Abbott & Costello monster movies. Best of all of course is "Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein". Bela Legosi & Lon Chaney, Jr. recreate their roles as Dracula and the Wolfman, plus a decent Frankenstein's Monster played by Glenn Strange, and even a surprise cameo at the end. One of my favorite Universal Monsters movies.

Unfortunately, everything else that McDonalds stands for is evil, corporate and designed to make human life as s**t as possible. There's something about McDonalds sausage, egg & cheese mcmuffins I can't duplicate at home. I think it's the egg. I don't go out of the way to eat McDonald's. But if some buys me breakfast I'll eat it. Their burgers I can't do anymore. Taco Bell is my junk food treat when I eat there a few times a month. I'll confess a weakness for their steak egg & cheese bagel sandwich. It's a greasy mess, unhealthy as all get out, but delicious.

Holy lord that's a lot of caffeine!!! That would screw with my blood sugar too much. :-) I've a low tolerance for stimulates the older I get.

I can never eat anything from McDonald's. Their fries are always over salted and never fully cooked and the burgers and sandwiches are always so flat that they look like someone sat on them before you get it.
I do like their Shamrock Shakes in honor of St. Patrick's Day though. Those are yummy.

I do like their Shamrock Shakes in honor of St. Patrick's Day though. Those are yummy. Before I figured out what I wanted to do with my life, I managed a McDonald's for nine months, and that experience has turned me off to everything on their menu except for the Shamrock Shakes and the bacon, egg, and cheese bagel sandwich (I used to pick those up in Morgantown, WV when I was traveling between Pittsburgh and Charleston, WV for business, as it was a perfect stopping point for grabbing a second cup of coffee after unloading the first one). For the most part, I avoid that "restaurant" (and I use that term loosely) like it was a syphilitic whore, but if my family and I are on a road trip and need to grab something for lunch, I will eat there but only if almost any other option is unavailable, up to and including truck stop restaurants.

Never have my food plain; always add spices and/or condiments! As the saying goes - "Always practice safe snacks - use a condiment!"
