I'm keeping this signature at the bottom of my posts - permanent and making my current avatar the Primary One and rotate that with the others for a short duration to mix things up.

MTV should stop calling itself MTV since they haven't shown music videos in years. There! I said it!

After seeing the first 30 minutes of Rogue One, I really hated all the lead characters. It didn't get any better afterwards

I hate finding a "MUST HAVE" item on ebay and having to wait the one week duration of the auction to get it. Only 6 days 23 hours to go There I said it.

Laugh tracks on sitcoms are really annoying. There I said it! And laugh tracks on unfunny sitcoms are even more annoying.

Looking at that Einstein photo reminds me that men should never cross their legs unless they're wearing trousers.

I don't mind/notice laugh tracks, but I hate when they use the hootin and hollerin and "awwww". Also, really like those videos on YouTube where they take the laugh track out of sitomcs. It makes the shoes seem legit dark.

The shows without them seem much funnier. Simpsons and Modern family come to mind.

There does seem to me a correlation between how smart a show is and whether or not it has a laugh track. Seinfeld is one of the few modern exceptions I think.

I've grown so accustomed to playing chess on a screen that using a real board with real pieces feels....weird.

There does seem to me a correlation between how smart a show is and whether or not it has a laugh track. Seinfeld is one of the few modern exceptions I think. I agree completely. If something is funny, I'll laugh, but I don't want to be encouraged to laugh at something unfunny because of the laugh track. It's why shows like Scrubs, Community, Modern Family, and The Good Place appeal to me (and things like The Big Bang Theory don't), because the jokes on those shows live or die on their own merit, not because someone in production is pushing a button at every punchline. My wife and I have been watching Friends on Netflix in the evenings before bed, and I think that it, like Seinfeld, can hold its own pretty well; although there is very liberal use of the laugh track in it, a lot of the earlier episodes can be legitimate funny. It's why I HATE the shows aimed at kids and tweens on Disney, Nickelodeon, etc. They are training kids early one to respond to the outside stimuli of the laugh track, and since most of those shows are mindless crap that maybe have one legitimate laugh per 30 minutes, kids aren't being encouraged to be discriminating but rather to laugh at every "joke', no matter how bad it is.
