But isn't it a little sad when all superhero movies need to become a franchise? I'd rather have one good Lobo Movie then a saga, hell, that would also be true of the Avengers movie! That being said, he problem with that Deadpool movie is how much it insists from the get go to tell us its own insgnificance... I get the irony etc, but I favor movies who try to be ambitious. So all in all, there was some fun parts in it, but i really didn't like it. I didn't know what to expect going into it having never ever read any deadpool comics except for the Max series by Lapham and Baker and having not seen any trailer or teasers for it. I wasn't shocked by any of the violence or R rated material, I just found it neither interesting nor original. It's not an awefull flick, just one I really didn't need to see.

Saw it last night. Basically I loved it. My knowledge of, and familiarity with deadpool is extremely limited. I think I've said it before, but I think I like the idea of deadpool more than dead pool himself. So I don't know if it was a good interpretation or not, but it was a fun funny enjoyable movie and a welcome breath of fresh air for the genre. The violence at times was exceedingly graphic but not always. the effects, action and fights were great. It was (imo) overly and unnecessarily profane and sexual. Not that I was offended or anything, it just seemed gratuitous and just wasn't needed. I didn't see it Improving the movie and don't see how toning it down would've hurt it. A little less mature and I would've been ok taking my son who desperately wants to see it. As is its gonna be a while. I was quite surprised and disappointed by how many people did bring their young kids. It made me uncomfortable. I was surprised by the xmen references and it seemed odd, but I totally dug collosus. I still absolutely hate tj Miller. Still can't help but like Ryan Reynolds and he was born for this role. It was a blast and I can't wait to see it again.

I saw the movie last week. It was fun and well done, even though I think it was a bit lacking of a more complex story (it's very linear, with no twist). Overall, I liked it. On a side note, after hearing so much about how the movie was superviolent, I was actually surprised by how soft it was. It even seemed pretty mild to me. I actually thought the version I saw had been censored compared to the US version, but it seems not. So, I'm not surprised it was only rated as 12+ on the other side of the Atlantic.
I like how the movie was done, and am happy for Ryan Reynolds who seemed to put a lot of faith in this project.

Watched it for the second time last night. Wrote the following review:
Am I correct that Kelly was the first one to do 4th-wall breaking with him? I think so.

Yes, ryan Reynolds was born for this role actually He was destined for it and I am actually very serious.Deadpool compared himself with Ryan Reynolds in Cable/Deadpool #2 from 2004. Ryan Reynolds himself is the ultimate fan of Deadpool and has held the banner for a long time and finally got the Movie he wanted btw if you want to know more about Mr.Pool the you can visit HERE

Finally saw it - thought it was pretty good, despite loathing Deadpool in the comics.

Late to the game, but I finally watched Deadpool last night. I loved it! How cool to see Leslie Uggams. Also nice that Ryan Reynolds can poke fun at himself. Excellent, fun movie.
