I'm talking about women going good old fashioned mano a mano...is there anything better than Elektra / Black Widow? (And what are the best showdowns?)

I love how the artist basically uses the same faces again and again. Hilariously parodied in Invincible. (See, I do sometimes read non-Fantastic Four comics)

From Starr Flag, Undercover Girl #5 1952... (hmmm image didn't work, will look again and edit later) more from Undercover Girl... or a little Nyoka the Jungle Girl.... from Seven Seas Comics #4 (1947) or Rulah the Jungle Goddess... Can't forget Sheena... then there's a whole blog onthe topic called Classic Catfights in Comics.. blogwhere some (not all) of the images I sued came from. But the Golden Age was a treasure trove for this sort of stuff.. -M

Best thread ever!
I'd guess that if you Google "Eric Stanton" + catfight, you'd get some good examples (and maybe some Ditko).

As mrp pointed out, Rulah kind of specialized in catfights. Sometimes with actual cats, and even an octopus thrown in for good measure.

She Hulk and Titania started their rivalry in the first Secret Wars and it continued on in the She hulk book.

Lois vs Lana while Superdickery looks on (but we know he's enjoying this).

That 'Lois vs. Catwoman' cover reminds me of the handful of Popeye cartoons where Olive Oyl had to eat the spinach to save her boyfriend...nice change of pace, but it made it kind of disappointing when Lois/Olive would go back to being so 'fragile' next time.
