I can understand older and somewhat obscure Presidents not appearing on comic covers. But was Gerald Ford ever cover featured? PS-I will pardon you if you can easily find an example Edited, because this is getting stupid, and I have no time or patience for this -- this thing is SUPPOSED to be fun. and it's just *not*

...cause FDR and Dubya have so much in common Well, if you believe in conspirarcies, there are those believing both knew and let happen events that would justify America going to war Because it makes so much sense that the US would not have gone to war against Japan if the attack hadn't been a total surprise. If the Japanese had attacked and the US had been ready for it, the US would have just said "eh, it happens. But FDR told the commanders at Pearl Harbor the exact time and date of the attack, so there's no reason to be upset." "And also we're not concerned about the simultaneous attack on US Pacific possessions and protectorates like the Philippines and the attacks on Pacific colonies of US allies. Since FDR told Pearl Harbor the exact time and date of the attack, thus giving away that the US had cracked at least one of the secret codes, we really shouldn't be in this war anyway because FDR just gave away one of our greatest advantages." Yeah. The "FDR knew and didn't tell" conspiracy makes absolutely no sense to anybody who knows anything about the War in the Pacific.

I love all you guys and girls but At the risk of dredging up last weeks mini controversy, we are supposed to only post one cover for the contest. Posting a viable cover and placing "NOT AN ENTRY" before we vote , is taking that cover and stealing that choice from another contestant.

National Lampoon wasn't a comic, as bert pointed out-it was a magazine that had a few comics in it, so it's not really an eligible entry per se. -M

Under that reasoning, Mad Magazine is not a comic.

Under that reasoning, Mad Magazine is not a comic. Mad was all comics, Lampoon was articles & prose bits mixed in with the comics. That's the difference. -M

True, but correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think National Lampoon covers are eligible since it hardly has anything to do with with the comic book format (well it did have a section in the back of 8-10 pages of comics and occasionally did comic book parodies, but you know what I mean). If Nat Lamp is eligible, there's some great covers there I'd be happy to use PS-Damn you mrp for being faster on the draw then me

I've seen NL covers used over the years.

But It's a moot point because no one else can use that cover. It's an image that was better posted after the vote.
edit*
Just bringing it up for clarification.

I've seen NL covers used over the years. I recall several Mad covers used, but don't recall NL ever being used. I could be wrong though. -M

He was probably on a Mad Magazine cover, but I don't recall any comic covers which is kind of strange since there were plenty of examples of Presidents before and after him

I like that Witching Hour cover. I would vote for president skull-face if I were American. Unless he was the Red Skull, of course, that would be wrong.
