One of my favorite covers for sentimental as well as artistic reasons, but it never occurred to me to question till just now why the page is shot as a reverse. I love the effect, of course, just wondering why it was done this way. Wonder if it was originally intended to be in color. They could have always changed the background color to be more complementary if that were the problem. Outside of "negative" versions of characters (Superman and Batman both went negative, maybe others, too), I can't think of similar examples. Anyway, I'm glad nobody saw fit to print it that way. A comic I know I'll never sell.
