My girlfriend and I watched the hour long DC Superhero Girls "movie" with our niece and a couple days later got texts from her dad with some awesome Poison Ivy and Wonder Woman pictures she'd drawn. Was the movie any good? It was great. I hope they release it on dvd/blu-ray one of these days.

I browsed through our local Wal*Mart's toy department today (when I gotthe Cap Hot Wheels set) and I did not see a single DC Super-Hero Girls toy anywhere on the shelves. Not in the girls toys aisle with the other girl-targetted dolls and action figures, and not with the boys toys and the other DC stuff. Not in the younger kids aisle with the Imaginext DC stuff, not on any of the endcaps, nowhere. So Either they are sold out and out of stock on them, or the distribution hasn't reached this market yet.

Ah, well the Target in town closed in January, and the next closest is 45 minutes away, so I won't be checking it out any time soon. -M

I remember that happening with the Justice League animated DVD featuring Dawnstar and Karate Kid. For a store with so much exclusive merchandise, they sure close locations a lot...

Been wondering why I haven't seen a shred of this stuff. Not that I nec want or planned on getting any. But curious what they looked like. And always browse toys wherever I go. Haven't been in a target in long time (and no plan to anytime soon).

saw them today, they had the whole set of 6" figures, but the large Dolls only available were BumbleBee and Batgirl.
the Batgirl looked great, but the ones I want are Ivy, and Wondy. (the associate we spoke to said the larger dolls fly off the shelves the moment they stock them).
the display set up is beautiful tho!

So my daughters watched the hour-long premiere of DC Super Hero Girls over the weekend and I watched it with them. Gotta say, it was great.
It's definitely aimed at young girls, but will also appeal to DC fans. Like for instance, when Granny Goodness and the Furies appear with a Mother Box. So cool.
The idea that the girls need to choose a "superhero school", gives them an excuse to mingle with future baddies like Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy, which I thought was a cute dynamic.
The dolls appear to be hot and have sold out online at Target except for Bumblebee (the smaller figures are still available). The Harley Quinn doll is already going for $30+ on auction sites.

FYI, these dolls are now available at Wally World! We were there yesterday and they had a whole display of them on the floor. I told my daughters they could get one and my youngest almost did, but ultimately they went with shopkins instead. Sorry DC I tried! There was one Harley Quinn left on the display...had to grab it!
