Well, when discussing "value" of comics it's impossible to do so without bringing them up, because ultimately that's the crowd paying big bucks for comics. Ask me what a comics worth, I say a dollar, no matter the comic or the condition. So odds are people selling high grade comics aren't going to bend over backwards for my business.

Although I guess I'm willing to pay up to $100 or so for certain pricey issues for runs I collect. But current stuff and 95+% of back issues? $1 it is.

Yeah on rare occasion I shell out for something I really want, but I'm always looking for the cheapest copy I can find.
And I have upped my preferred price to pay to be as high as $4 per issue for Bronze Age mags. My reasoning is that's about what a modern comic costs, and these are so much bigger with so many more pages might as well be willing to pay that much. But I still tend to buy a whole bunch of them for $1 or $2 each.
