It may be my sense of humour is finally collapsing under its own weight after the bonkers events of 2020 (and the first week of 2021) but I found this panel from the end of the ridiculously insane Le Ministre Secret (Written by Joann Sfar, Arted by Mathieu Sapin) hilarious. It's a strip that involves an American superhero called Kurtzberg, two (real) former French presidents getting drunk and hot-wiring the alcohol tester on their smart motorbike, a secret war between reptilian aliens and Ninjas, and Vladimir Putin machine-gunning tigers while Donald Trump denies the existence of telephones in France. Towards the end it turns out that the whole farrago, which culminated in releasing a virus that would wipe out vast numbers of humans, was engineered by Prince Albert of Monaco with Geta Thunberg as his unwitting catspaw. At the climax Thunberg, seeing the error of her ways, releases tons of flowers from her giant flying solar-powered greenhouse and everything is all right again. "Greta Thunberg admits that, despite the obvious advantages, exterminating the population of France is perhaps not the best solution to the problem for the moment." It's that, "I'll be back!" that gets me.
