Can we have Spoiler Tags as part of the Quick Reply and Reply Functions? ... I would like to see that embedded somewhere when we do our postings here in this forum? Many Members here are using them quite often here in our forum. Classic Comics Forum I would get rid of the Horizontal Rule Button and replace it with a Spoiler Tag Button instead.

Worth discussing.
I worry about cluttering up the reply window with too many buttons. I honestly think there are already so many buttons there that it's easy to miss what most of them are. With spoiler tags, since the Rules of the Road explains how to make them, and since they really aren't complicated, I'm not sure the convenience of having a button outweighs the cost of cluttering up the reply window even further.
So I'd like to hear some more opinions on this. If there's a consensus that this would be particularly helpful, I'll look into making it happen.

Thanks Shax, and let's see in a week or two if this idea generates any interests at all?

I hardly ever use the buttons - I just type [\img] or [\b] or whatever it is that I want (without the backslashes).

A spoiler button should probably be next in line as far as useful possible future additions go. Personally I never remember if the tag is "spoil" or "spoiler"!!!

Actually I agree with MG that is the button I'd really like to see.

I agree, I've used spoiler tags far more frequently than the number of times I've used the horizontal rule button (zero). Well, shoot, while it's still here!
Now, that is a horizontal rule. Definitely not vertical at all. Well-done!

I have not forgotten about this and will look into it as soon as I can find a spare evening or three to make it a top priority. Thanks for your patience, folks.

Sorry to have kept you guys waiting so long on this, @mechagodzilla, Roquefort Raider, hondobrode, and impulse. You'll now find a new spoiler button at the very end of the row of buttons in the reply window. I'm already noticing a few buggy behaviors coming from it, but hopefully it will suffice.

Like having the spoiler button, but the behaviour is a bit weird - it doesn't appear on screen until I mouseover the reply text box, pushing the pencil icon to the right - whereas all the others are already present
This is on Firefox.

As I originally said, it's "buggy". It is, unfortunately, the best that I can do. I did not write the script itself but used the only one that was available for this kind of function. I am in talks with the developer, but he, himself, is an amateur doing this for the love of it. We are not a professional tech support team.
