Buckeye ConI'll be going to my first show of the year, two weeks form today. It's a small local ballroom con, 40-50 dealer tables not mu the way of creator guests I believe. I've talked to one other CCFer who is planning on being there as well, so if anyone else is up for a small local con to hunt comics, toys and stuff and meet 1 or more fellow board members, give a shout. -M

I am about 95% definite unless something unforeseen with work crops up, and The Captain and I will be touching base the week before to work out logistics if we do both end up going, so I will keep you in the loop. I've never been to one of this promoters shows before, so I am not sure what to expect. -M |

I know most of the sellers, and they are generally good people that I enjoy talking to. |

I've made my hotel reservations for the weekend and figured out something for my wife and girls to do while I am at the show, so barring any unforeseen circumstances, I will be there.

Psyched as I am that you're coming, this really isn't the kind of show that's worth staying overnight in a hotel for. Unless it's grown considerably in the last five years, this is a relatively small scale show. I don't want you to be disappointed. |

Thanks for the heads-up, but we're making a full weekend of it, so it's all part of the plan. Coming out Friday night, going to the zoo and minor-league baseball game on Saturday, and then my wife and girls are going to the American Girl Doll store on Sunday while I am at the show. With my current unemployed status, we're going to do a couple of these quick weekend trips this year to break up the monotony of home since we won't be doing a full family vacation unless things change for me pretty soon. |

Pretty much 99% sure I am going now, the only question is if I am driving myself or getting dropped off by my wife while she does other things in Columbus for the day.

Looks like I will not be attending. Sunday is Passover, and Saturday is mine and my wife's ONE chance to get some gardening done before six consecutive tightly planned weekends follow.
