I did my annual very bad thing. One of the things I obsessively collect are FCBD books. The easiest way to guarantee getting them all (I've convinced myself) is to order $400 worth of stuff from Mile High. They then give you a complete set of that year's books. Yes, Mile High is usually overpriced; but I generally find 600 or so $1-2 books, apply the 50% off code (truckload) and hope my wife isn't home when the huge box arrives.

Couple of pretty nice deals here. Buy a select Amazon app (most are free) and get emailed a code to redeem at Comixology for the recent Avengers #0 for free (was $5.99). Can't find the link (maybe it was posted here already?) but here is link for a free $5 Amazon credit for buying a free game. www.amazon.com/b/?tag=mr060-20&node=14392111011New manga bundle at Humble. www.humblebundle.com/books/kodansha-manga-bundleAlso, Groupees has a new Indy bundle that has a broad selection of some of the best books of the last couple years, and some classic gems. I'm tempted by the $25 tier, even though I probably own most of it on Comixology already. groupees.com/independents

The good folks at Hogan's Alley magazine have an offer for Free Comic Book Day:
"Unless you’ve been avoiding all media in this political season (and who could blame you?), you’re probably aware that this Saturday, May 7, is Free Comic Book Day. Send us an e-mail (hoganmag@gmail.com) ON THAT DATE with your mailing address, and we’ll send you a FREE issue of Hogan’s Alley! No obligations, no strings attached; the only thing it will cost you is several hours as you enjoy the issue. (This offer is valid for all U.S. residents, whether you’re a current subscriber or not.) Remember the one condition--we must receive your e-mail request on Free Comic Book Day (May 7), not the day before or the day after. (Before and after that date, any requests for freebies will receive only scorn and derision.) Feel free to pass this offer along to anyone you know who might enjoy Hogan’s Alley!
Don’t forget to follow Hogan’s Alley on Twitter (https://twitter.com/hoganmag) to get a daily "Today in Comics History" fact and other cartooning news and observations!"
They've done this for the last several years; the free issue is usually a year or two old but still very interesting to read.

On that note, I don't see it right here and now, but, Comixology traditionally offers all the comics the publishers put out digitally for free.
They'll probably be up tomorrow or next week sometimes.
Watch this space for more exciting details !

^ I think they usually get maybe half of them, but hopefully I'm proven wrong and they get all 50 this year. At least one was put up yesterday.

A few new freebies sprinkled in the new release and free sections at Comixology.
