Not even remotely interested personally. I have thousands of dollars worth of purchased comics to read and re-read before I consider a rental plan.
But for new users? Yeah, never buy a comic again and just join this and MU (and I imagine the soon-to-be DCU).

You and I are in the same boat, Trevor, but, it would be great for the casual fan.
Not sure if they'll be rotating what they offer or not.
I looked at Image, and saw that Invincible was offered, but not Invincible Universe.

Yeah, the more I hear talk of it, it's more like a sampler platter. First trades of lots of series, but not a everything binge read sort of thing. And I've heard talk of the companies rotating. Still, nice for newbies to sample a lot before they buy, or for casual readers.
I've always thought that companies should offer the second issue of everything for free. Sneaky, and I'd hate it, but I bet it would increase sales.

I'll bet it timed out, as in, that promotion is over now.
They run them fairly frequently though.
As far as Unlimited, I was thinking about it today, and I think I'm going to do it anyway.
It gives me more to sample and help me from spending on stuff that sounded good that ended up not so good. Rare but it happens (I'm looking at you Zero).

I've been ordering from Bud Plant for 25 years now, and I wanted to share some of the closeouts he has for his annual Spring Clearance sale. Kinstler's work hangs in museums, boardrooms, banks, private collections, The White House, and in the homes of his clients and friends. Before portraiture became his life's work, he spent two decades honing his craft on illustrations for pulp magazines like The Shadow, Doc Savage and Detective Tales. He went on to draw the comic book adventures of Hawkman, Jesse James, Zorro, and the obscure but provocative White Princess of the Jungle. He's well known to comic collectors for his brilliant line drawings on the inside front covers of hundreds of Avon's early '50s titles, dozens of which are reproduced here from the original art. He also encountered such notable figures as James Montgomery Flagg, Dean Cornwell, and James Bama. Over 375 illustrations accompany this biography, enlivened by Kinstler's memories and the recollections of friends and editors. Limited to 700 copies, signed by artist and author, slipcased, with an extra color signature plate and 16 extra b&w plates. More Indie Eisners Featuring Becky Cloonan! As a lone hunter tracks an elusive beast through the forest, he reflects on his life and past love through a series of flashbacks, bringing the story to a climax that is as romantic as it is savage. This powerful short story begs for multiple read-throughs, never giving concrete answers, but (like the best enigmatic endings) leaves your own conclusions satisfying. "Beautiful, haunting, and refreshingly mysterious." -Mike Mignola
On the eve of a great battle, a humble squire is tasked with delivering a letter to a seemingly abandoned castle at the heart of an ill-famed swamp. Met with mysterious apparitions on the way, he slowly unveils the truth behind his journey as his past is re-written over the course of the story. A fisherman's wife tends the garden and animals while her husband is at sea, but secrets buried under the waves begin to bubble to the surface revealing a secret treachery and forgotten truth. The third and final book in a trilogy of critically acclaimed stand-alone stories by award winning creator Becky Cloonan. Zenescope Entertainment's epic, fantasy-horrors series continues with a brand new mind-bending installment. The Liddle family has never been normal. Even before Alice would meet her future husband, Lewis, her mind was haunted by secrets of her dark past. Alice tried to live a normal life and raise a family with two beautiful children, Calie and Johnny. But it was only a matter of time before Alice's past caught up with her. Upon learning that the nightmarish Realm of Wonderland has been targeting her family through her mind, Alice, sacrificed herself, finally ending the nightmare... or so she thought. After her mother's suicide and the murder of her father at the hands of her brother, Calie Liddle sacrificed her brother, Johnny, to the Realm of Wonderland. Now, Johnny - alone and scared - is trapped in the hellish landscape. What will become of him and what will become of the Liddle bloodline?

1999 In 1999 I had no direction in life. I was a college drop-out living with my mom, and working at a sub shop. No plans, no real interests - Except for Nora. I want to sleep with Nora. Musashi Miyamoto Musashi, the legendary samurai, is known throughout the world as a master swordsman, a spiritual seeker, and the author of the classic Book of Five Rings. This graphic novel treatment of his amazing life is both a vivid account of a fascinating period in feudal Japan and a portrait of a courageous, iconoclastic samurai who wrestled with philosophical and spiritual ideas that are as relevant today as they were in his time.

The Demon's Sermon on the Martial Arts: A Graphic Novel The Demon's Sermon on the Martial Arts is a classic collection of martial arts parables, written by Issai Chozanshi, an eighteenth-century samurai. The stories, which feature demons, insects, birds, cats, and numerous other creatures, may seem whimsical, but they contain essential teachings that offer insight into the fundamental principles of the martial arts. This graphic novel version based on Chozanshi's text brings these tales alive in a captivating and immediately accessible way. Infused with Chozanshi's deep understanding of Taoism, Buddhism, Confucianism, and Shinto, the tales elucidate the nature of conflict, the importance of following one's own nature, yin and yang, the cultivation and transformation of ch'i (life energy), and the attainment of mushin (no-mind). Ultimately, the reader learns in a visually exciting way that the path of the sword is a path of self-knowledge and leads to an understanding of life itself. Cold Mountain: The Legend of Han Shan and Shih Te, the Original Dharma Bums Here is a graphic novel portrait of the wild antics and legendary poetry of two of China's greatest poets. Han Shan (known as "Cold Mountain") and Shih Te lived during the Tang dynasty (618-906 C.E.) and were critics of authority (both secular and religious) and champions of social justice. They left their poetry on tree trunks and rocks, and they were also reportedly monastics, drunks, cave dwellers, immortals, and many other unconventional and wondrous things. There is much delightful uncertainty about this "Laughing Pair"-including whether or not they actually even existed. What is known is that the poetry attributed to them was hugely influential in both China and Japan, and to the Beat writers in the United States during the 1950s and '60s. Acclaimed manga creator Sean Michael Wilson, along with illustrator Akiko Shimojima and expert translator J. P. Seaton, brings these renegade poets to life, revealing their humor and wackiness and also their penetrating insights into the human condition. The 47 Ronin: A Graphic Novel Here is the first historically accurate graphic-novel version of a legendary event in Japanese history. In the eighteenth century, forty-seven samurai avenged the death of their master in a plot involving over two years of secrecy. After succeeding in their mission, the masterless samurai all committed ritual suicide. The story, which is a national legend, remains a most potent example of Japan's deeply rooted cultural imperatives of honor, persistence, loyalty, and sacrifice, and of bushido-the samurai code. "A masterful retelling of one of the greatest stories in Japanese culture. An engrossing, engaging, emotional and unforgettable epic."-Jonathan Ross, BBC television presenter The Book of Five Rings: A Graphic Novel This graphic novel version of The Book of Five Rings, the iconic book of confrontation and victory by the famed seventeenth-century duelist and undefeated samurai Miyamoto Musashi, illuminates this brilliant manifesto, which has long inspired martial artists and anyone interested in cultivating a strategic mind. With evocative drawings and a distilled but faithful text adapted by acclaimed manga writer Sean Michael Wilson, The Book of Five Rings comes alive both as a guide to swordsmanship and strategy, and as a view into Musashi's world.
