Today Chuck announced that Mile High's 60% off "NANETTE2" codeword sale will end midday Saturday. After that, he'll have some kind of sale for Halloween.

Big news from Mile High Comics:
"I want to alert you today to a major change in our pricing of comics on our website. Effective immediately we have no codeword in effect, with all of our prices of comics and books on our website having been adjusted across-the-board to much lower levels. I cannot provide you with the exact differentials, as the algorithm we employed to make these adjustments slashed our base prices by 50%-70% off, depending entirely on our quantities on hand of any given issue. Suffice it to say, however, that our listed prices for ALL of our are now radically lower than they were just this morning."
He goes on to say that this is an experiment designed to bring in new customers, and they will evaluate how well it's working after a month or so.

I've just seen something on e-bay : someone is selling a CD-ROM with scans of comics he owns.
How the heck can it be legal to sell that??? How is such copying anything resembling «fair use»?

I don't believe he can legally do that. He'll be caught eventually.
If he's in another country, however, it gets much more complicated.

I don't believe he can legally do that. He'll be caught eventually. If he's in another country, however, it gets much more complicated. A few years back I purchased a cd -rom of public domain comics. It felt like he had a scanned source. The reproduction was crappy and I lost interest in reading it. It had the original Daredevil and other stuff. This is a link to a public domain comic site. It was posted here before by a few people.

Update from Chuck at Mile High Comics: "Have you seen the incredible new pricing on our website? Almost all of our back issue comics and magazine prices are now 50%-70%! less expensive than they were just last Friday. As I mentioned in Saturday's newsletter, this radically lowered pricing is experimental, and totally relies upon positive response to be continued. That having been said, our initial response to our lower prices has been phenomenal, with our sales during the past 48 hours running at over double the norm. That is wonderful news! [...] While all of our codeword sales are now ended, we do still want to offer rewards to those who shop with us regularly, and who take the time to read my newsletters. With that thought in mind, Will Moulton and Chris Boyd created an awesome landing page that features all of this year's HALLOWEEN COMICFEST comics. www.milehighcomics.com/newsletter/halloween2016.html[...] If you would like to receive any of these issues for your collection at no charge, simply place any order with us this week, and you can the request in the "notes" to receive one free HALLOWEEN COMICFEST title for each $10 increment of your order. Please note that we do have only limited supplies on some issues, however, so please order quickly for best selection. A minimum $150 order qualifies you for a complete set of all 32. [...] Please bear in mind that we are not allowed to ship out orders containing any of these limited edition comics until next Monday October 31st."
