If anyone is within a couple of hours of the Pittsburgh area, you may want to check out New Dimension Comics' bi-annual Legendary Basement Sale this upcoming Saturday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM at their Ellwood City, PA location. 500,000 sorted comics, all for $1, in their basement, books dating back to mid-Bronze Age available. They also have a large sorted collection on the main floor as well as lots of unsorted and "chunked" long boxes (multiple issue runs of multiple titles within the same box), with all books in this area also $1. You can fill a long box and pay a reduced rate (it used to be $225, but it may have risen this year), which is a great deal. I've gone many times and never been disappointed. Although I haven't been in a couple of years, I will be making the trip mid-Saturday afternoon to hopefully make a dent in my post-Crisis Flash run, so if anyone is able to make it, let me know and I'll look for you. Posts like this make me weep...why can't I live closer to areas where comic hunting is something you can actually do |
