Mile High keeps bringing down the discounts, as they still have a high level of traffic. No discount for anything other than back issue floppies (at 40% now).

I think I just got the best one I've had in years. A couple months ago, a book I found at an online store in Switzerland for $140 (including shipping), a friend and fellow fan in Canada steered to me to a seller with the same book in France for $70. That was HALF!! Still a lot, but, I was able to get it without waiting months to put money aside. I'm still thrilled. However... there was a rare fanzine, one of only 5 issues, where, most of them were going for around $20-$30 apiece, but the one I wanted I saw on Ebay for $650. Ridiculous. And just yesterday, I think the same seller had jacked up the price to $850. Insane!! I laughed. Why? That SAME fan in Canada steered me to a website where a lot of fanzines were posted with LARGE, HIGH-RES SCANS-- and I downloaded it FOR FREE. I'm stunned.
I love to say... "When you're BROKE-- CHEAP is GOOD."

To celebrate (?) the release of the film Scoob today, DC is giving away hundreds of Scooby Doo comics. Kindle, Comixology, iBooks probably others. Kind of hard to find the titles on Comixology for some reason, but just buy them on Amazon and you’ll get both Kindle and Comixology versions. Scooby-Doo SD Team-up SD Where Are You
They are actually really well done and fun books, particularly the team up book.

Lonestar/mycomicshop is having their annual Booksgiving sale, with 10-20% off sitewide (with some exceptions like consignment books) and several thousand dollar books. You also get a free trade or comic (from a selected list) for every $10 you spend. It started today a noon central time and ends tomorrow.

I was disappointed at their selection, they have many dollar books that were crap and they seem to have jacked up the prices on their inventory. I refuse to pay 4.80 for a book that I can get for one buck at a con. Also, they seem to have many consignment books that are insanely priced.

Yeah, the good freebies were gone instantly with nothing else I wanted. So much toilet paper in the dollar bin IMO. My purchases were for a few missing issues that the sale brought down in price to around $4 and a some others into the $1.60 range. Will post what I got when they arrive.
