I'm ashamed to admit that I don't think I've read The Incal or any Jodorowsky stuff. Anyone recommend this one?

I've read bits and pieces here and there but not a complete story.
I'm getting the Technopriests and will post my thoughts on the series here after I read it.

Tempted by God is Dead because it's Hickman, and Alan Moore writes an issue, but the reviews are pretty bad. Anyone read it?

Tempted by God is Dead because it's Hickman, and Alan Moore writes an issue, but the reviews are pretty bad. Anyone read it? It's not really Hickman, it's a Hickman concept and plot notes written by Costa (who "takes over" as writer after the first arc from being "co-writer" with Hickman on that arc and it features typical over the top extreme Avatar art. I wanted to like it, I tried a handful of issues and I couldn't even read the last few because it was just so pointless. The plot/premise in 1 sentence... The world's mythological pantheons return and battle each other for supremacy and there is nothing humanity can do but be enslaved to the gods again, until a small underground cell uses science to breed a new human who they hope achieves apotheosis and becomes their savior... -M

Great ! I hadn't seen that yet and def will be getting it. The write up sounds crazy good. As far as God is Dead, I put it up there cause it's on sale, and let people judge for themselves, but since you asked, I tried the first 15 issues and was deeply disappointed. Nice idea, but if I were Hickman, honestly, I wouldn't have my name associated with it, for quality reasons. I'll probably get the Alan Moore issue though.

The Auteur thing was in their Twitter. I also occasionally find things in their podcasts, periscope videos, random browsing of their library, and from other comic sites.
I'm one of the main digital comic deal posters at seven other sites, and often just cut n paste all the deals across all sites. But looks like I won't be needed much here, you do a better job already!

No, I didn't know about Auteur !
I'm on Dark Horse's mailing list for digital and visit Comixology daily. I'm not on Twitter and the other stuff like you are.
If it weren't for you I wouldn't have picked up The Auteur, which I'm gobbling up tonight !
