Lonestar/mycomicshop is having their annual Booksgiving sale, with 10-20% off sitewide (with some exceptions like consignment books) and several thousand dollar books. You also get a free trade or comic (from a selected list) for every $10 you spend. It started today a noon central time and ends tomorrow. -M Thanks for the headsup. I was disappointed at their selection, they have many dollar books that were crap and they seem to have jacked up the prices on their inventory. I refuse to pay 4.80 for a book that I can get for one buck at a con. Also, they seem to have many consignment books that are insanely priced. Yeah, the good freebies were gone instantly with nothing else I wanted. So much toilet paper in the dollar bin IMO. My purchases were for a few missing issues that the sale brought down in price to around $4 and a some others into the $1.60 range. Will post what I got when they arrive. I got in early I guess-I got a bunch of the Gemstone EC reprints out of the dollar sale and some interesting stuff among the freebies-Complete Howard the Duck Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, a couple of IDW trades I was curious about but hadn't seen enough to pay for so was glad to grab as freebies (Little Book of Horror HC Vol. 1 and Aleister Arcane tpb) and the anniversary edition of Hellboy: Seed of Destruction. I agree that their dollar bin fare is often somewhat lacking, mostly stuff from the last 10-15 years that they are overstocked on, but there are things in there occasionally that I am interested in, like the EC reprints. As for jacking up their prices, they are high on some stuff, low on others, which reflects their buying prices. They are buying some things at prices higher than I see them selling on ebay, and buying low on some others. As for stuff being overpriced you could find at a buck at a con, I'm sure that's true, if there were cons to go to right now, but I found even in 2019 that a lot of dealers were cherry-picking a lot of stuff out of what had been their bargain stock and that I had seen for years in dollar bins and pricing it more according to "guide" at shows and definitely in stores. And some things, like Milestone books, that had been in bargain bins forever, are now hot commodities as demand has sharply increased and first issues and issues later in runs that had smaller print runs and can be tough to find now are selling at premiums ($10-$25 an issue) in a lot of places. Stuff is priced cheap usually when there is low demand for it and the dealers are trying to unload it just to have less stock to haul back and forth to shows and because they made their money on it already by flipping the high demand books that came in those collections. When demand shifts, or you have to pay for expenses that come with a brink and mortar store, warehouse, warehouse staff, etc. that most con vendors don't deal with, and when you have a broader audience to increase demand for your product (i.e. anyone with the internet and a credit card vs. those who pay to get into a particular show on a particular day), prices are going to reflect that. -M

I placed an order, but missed most of the "good" freebies-- most of what was left was modern junk.

I window-shopped Booksgiving but had to pass. Last year I picked a Sonic The Hedgehog freebie then got a Zombie thing in substitution, but the March Of Comics Barks Duck freebie made up for even that.

at my favorite, www.hamiltonbook.com , type in keyword "Archives" and you'll see a TON of DC hardcovers from $11-$15 bucks. I just picked up multiple Plastic Man archives, as well as Silver Age Teen Titans (a book that retails for ~$80 if you can find it, but Hamilton has it for $14). you're welcome

Because of the coronavirus crisis comic artist Stjepan Sejic has made all six volumes of his acclaimed "Sunstone" series available for free on dropbox! t.co/RFmnNRmZtK?amp=1 Vol. 1-5 have been in a Humble Bundle, Vol. 1-4 in a Groupees bundle, so look what you already have. Thank you so much for this! I downloaded it a week ago and have been in a Sunstone trance ever since. I haven't posted much recently, and this is one of the reasons. Someone mentioned Sunstone to my wife a month or two ago, and she got volume 1 out of the library. I couldn't put it down. When I finished it I came here and searched for any mention of it. I found your post and the link still works - in fact, he's added volume 7 and a few other things. I highly recommend Sunstone, but be aware that it is extremely NSFW. It's full of kinky sex, and it may be the most romantic story I've ever read.

WOW....when certain books began to sell fast, the discount went from 75% to 10% lol....and several of the series I ordered at 25% regular price sold out.
If I did my math right, I will flip 6 sets, make back my entire purchase price, get my books for free and have enough to get a HC I am eyeballing.
