Those Sixth Gun and Revival books are really good.

I have the first volume of Revival but haven't read it yet, but it's Seeley so it's probably pretty good.
Growing up in the country, I think it'll be even more creepy.
The Sixth Gun is good. I like westerns and Jonah Hex is one of my favorite characters. The supernatural element mashed in there is good. Vertigo did that with Jonah Hex in the 90's and I liked it there as well.
Met Sixth Gun artist Brian Hurtt at Planet-Con, and he was really cool.

That's what I'm here for, whether you hit the Comixology or Dark Horse sales, or just pick em up somewhere.
I hope you like em, though I don't read or even like everything I put on the Bargain Thread. Just cause I haven't read or like it doesn't mean you won't like it though.

Personally, I think all digital back issues a year old or older should be .99.

Personally, I think all digital back issues a year old or older should be .99. I agree, but until we get there, I'm buying most of my digitals around that price with few exceptions.

Personally, I think all digital back issues a year old or older should be .99. I agree. Wait, no I don't! I'd go broke the first day they set that pricing. Hey Trevor, welcome to the forum. I was following your digital thread in Cbr. So you were the one? Not much traffic in that thread iirc. I think I'm going to like it here. Content more to my liking, and the crowd is friendlier.

Personally, I think all digital back issues a year old or older should be .99. I suspect that would make them lose money. Marketing wise, people LOVE sales. They have alot of them. It's a much easier sell to have topical sales connected to current events. New readers who aren't comic book forum people are more likely to buy, say the original Days of Future Past if it says 'sale' and they just read the secret wars book. If it them gets them to impulse buy the next couple for $1.99 or $2.99, or a trade for $14.99, so much the better. As an intelligent buyer, you just have to either stay away from those traps, or be happy you get what you want and not worry about it If every issue was .99 all the time, there's no impulse buy motivation. The person might look at it, say, 'yeah, that's prety cheap, I'll have to check it out some time' and move on, rather than 'hey, this is half price this week, OK, I'll give it a shot'... it's not the price that matters, it's how it's presented.

I think a lot of people that won't bite on $ 3 or $ 4 will bite on $.99.
That's the only way I've bought any Marvels in the last couple of years. No way will I throw regular money at it, but there have been a few things I wouldn't have otherwise tried, like Remender's Captain America / Arnim Zola arc.
I've also tried tons of indie titles that I otherwise wouldn't have and didn't even know about were it not for these sales.
Just picked up some Mr X from Dark Horse, and I thought that character hadn't been around since the 90's maybe, or 80's.

That's exactly the point... would have looked at the stuff at all if it wasn't 'on sale', but rather just .99 all the time? You're right, of course, that you sell more issues at .99 than at $3... but if you can sell SOME at $3, and the rest at .99, that's better than all of them at .99.

$ 3 and $ 4 is an inflated price, but then you can give better discounts and sales.
