With Space Usagi and Senso, Stan has shown how the world of Usagi can be adapted to different genres and still retain the emotions and drama that we love about the characters and their relationships.
So I was wondering, what other genres do you think the world of Usagi could be adapted to?
For example, Hollywood is currently remaking The Magnificent Seven starring Denzel Washington and Chris Pratt respectively. As you may know (hopefully), the original Magnificent Seven was itself an American adaption of the classic film Seven Samurai, with the story of duty and honor translated and mixed in with the romanticism (as it were) of the American Old West.
In that spirit, could you envision Usagi as an Old West adventure?
Would Lord Hijiki be a ruthless cattle baron? Would Inspector Ishida be better as a US Marshal or a Pinkerton detective? Would Gen be like Eastwood's bounty killer 'The Man With No Name'?

Great topic!
Since, as you note, the Spaghetti Westerns of classic cinema were largely based on the Samurai film genre, and since the classic Samurai films were Stan's primary influence in crafting Usagi, I feel that the tone of the Old West films pervades many Usagi stories. So often, he is the man with no name.
Personally, I don't think I could ever get enough Space Usagi. That mixing of genres absolutely enthralls me.
Might be interesting to see an Usagi/Ishida story that cultivates more of a Noir tone...

Stan has mentioned an idea for a 1930's pulp hero Usagi ("Shadow of the Rabbit"), which would be amazing. I'd like to see Usagi and Ishida in a late 1800s, Sherlock Holmes style detective story.

A Holmesian mystery would be great! Watson, in some iterations, is just as much heavy hitter/body guard as sounding board, so it would total work with Usagi!
I don't think a western theme would be much of a stretch... Usagi could be the lonesome stranger come to town to save the day, or a US Marshall in town to deal with a particular issue.

I'd also like to see an 1800s "Usagi vs Dracula" story.

I'd also like to see an 1800s "Usagi vs Dracula" story. For that matter, I'd love to see a series of one-shots where Usagi encounters each of the classic Universal Monsters. Ridiculous and impossible to explain away, but I'd LOVE seeing Stan tackle the visual tone of those films. I could almost see him doing watercolors, but all with faint gray/blue/green colors.

How about an Usagi vs Cthulhu story? That would also be a great opportunity for Hellboy to meet Usagi.

I think he said it was Segio's wish, but I could be mistaken. They did face off on the Motor City Comicon official T-shirt from 2008, which was drawn by both Stan and Sergio. I have two of them and will need to remember to snap a pic.

I tend do like the supernatural Usagi stories so a more horror themed mash-up would be a must buy for me.

Oooh yeah, a showdown with the Wolfman would be cool. I would suggest the Invisible Man but that may be a stretch. Like with some modern martial arts films, I think it would be cool to see a Usagi story set in present day Japan. As with his namesake, have Usagi establish his own sword school/dojo and his current descendants could still be teaching it while also keeping alive the traditions of bushido. Then somehow they get mixed up/involved with the activities of the current Neko/Komori clans of ninjas. It could be an action-type story but also showcase how Usagi's wisdom gained from his long wanderings could still influence his descendants today.

I do have a Sherlock Holmes story that I would like to do. It's a take on the Holmes mythos that, I believe, has never been explored. I was going to visit 221B Baker St when I was in London a few months ago, but went online and saw what a tourist trap it is. My story is not with Usagi, though. It would be with people. I did a few pages with a 20th century (though I guess it would be 21st century now) descendant of Usagi's named Terri Miyamoto, an investigative reporter in an Agatha Christie-type murder mystery, Ten Little Critters. I just found those pages yesterday as I was cleaning out my old house.
