Looks like Gaiman himself will take over most of the showrunner duties for season two after the showrunners ofr season one left over a budget dispute (or to take over another show depending on which story you believe). Gillian Anderson is also not coming back for season two it seems and the second season will be some time in coming. I really enjoyed the first season, there was a lot there that wasn't in the book but it had been so long since I read it it all seemed seamless to me. -M

While I liked Anderson as Media, she wasn't essential to the show and as I recall the book well enough that character shouldn't show up all that much more. More concerning to me is that Kristen Chenowith may not be back as Eostre.

Apparently Gaiman later clarified he isn't the showrunner because he has that role on Good Omens and can't physically be present at American gods to do it, but that he will work closely with the writer's room and the new showrunner just as he did in Season One. So who knows what this means for when season two will see the light of day. -M

The Comic is better but the show is very very good. In fact, it is the best watch on TV in my opinion.
