I recently came across a story, drawn by someone I thought I was familiar with (his style, I mean), but could hardly recognise. I thought we could make a game out of it. The rules are simple, guess how drew the posted image, the answer will be given a moth after posting, to avoid trial an error. A month for the answer seems way too long I want to give latecomers a chance, besides, there's a couple of points to be made here: - If someone know what comic the image belongs to, giving the answer becomes irrelevant.
- Other images can be posted in the meantime, by me or someone else.
Who drew this ? I'm going to use this one, as an example of what the game can turn to, if we don't choose the drawing carefully: a panel hunt. In fact, I located this one without having the slightest idea of who that was, under Sinnot's inks. Why? Because the inker was cristal clear, and you could see several recognisable characters. With those hints, it was just a question of locating an issue that would meet the criteria. Conclusion, a full panel, an even worse, a complete panel coupled with fragments of others, gives too much information. On the other hand, shoving a panel that only gives you the face, severely limits the ability to discern the penciller in doubt. If we select a drawing, inked by someone as suffocating as Sinnot, then it becomes nearly impossible to guess the artist. My idea of the game, was more like identifying an artist who, by his own merits, becomes unrecognisable.

Rob Liefeld There's two drawings already, you mean to say that you think, both of them were done by him?

I'm a total amateur when it comes to identifying an artist by his/her work, but the unusual flight pose has me thinking Gil Kane( )

So, just to clarify, both of these drawings were done by the same artist / penciler ?

I know how drew the one I posted, I haven't checked the other one, the real question is, what post was Randle-El talking about?

I assumed the first drawing of Iron Man was the one being discussed, since the OP posted it and hasn't given us the answer yet. "I recently came across a story, drawn by someone I thought I was familiar with (his style, I mean), but could hardly recognise." Based on the presence of feet, correct anatomy, perspective, tasteful rendering, and a lack of pouches, I guessed Rob Liefeld would fit that bill. Yes, I was making a joke.
