I've liked all these choices, but gotta agree with Shax that Uncle Scrooge is in a class all his own. Loves me some Scrooge McDuck !

Scrooge comics are some of the very best to be found. I am always hunting them down at any comic book store i visit. But Daffy is my pure silly fun and manic delight in cartoon fowls. He can do and be anything making it hilariously his own. Duck Dodgers? Scarlet Pumpernickel? Scheming demented foil to Bugs and Porky? He may be a greedy and despicable duck but he sure is fun

There aint nothing funnier than watching Daffy Duck go apoplectic after being beaten by Bugs and co. I love the sheer insanity of the Warner Bros cartoons (well the early ones before they got toned down) so much more than the family appeal of Disney, though in saying that, Uncle Scrooge would be IMHO the greatest funny animal book of all. Barks rocks.

Hm, I can only vote based on what I've seen. I've only known Uncle Scrooge through this: A wonderful cartoon from my youth. Second place for me. But top place has to go to Daffy whose crazy antics I watched for years on Saturday mornings and who has one of my all-time favorite parodies: You're darn tooting that I'm still an Eager Young Space Cadet.

I voted Howard the Duck for the Steve Gerber comics ...and for having sex with Lea Thompson... They didn't though, right? Memory's hazy but I think she called his bluff and he chickened out.

If I never see it again, it'll be too soon.

If you get a chance, you should listen to the "How Did This Get Made" podcast episode on the movie. I laughed until I cried... Noted. I'll check it out. Over on the Classic Movie Thread recently, I made mention my subjecting myself to viewing this movie once again the other night. There was one good thing that came out of this travesty and I'll quote myself George Lucas had just spent $50 million to construct his Skywalker Ranch complex and counted on Howard The Duck to recoup his money. When it bombed, Steve Jobs offered to help his friend by buying the CGI animation division George put together for the Howard movie, Job's offer was extremely generous and George was in debt. The rest is history. Jobs took over the division and so Pixar Animation was born
