We have more PA folks than I'd suspected. Considering I'm not far from there (OH), we really should organize a meetup sometime.

We have more PA folks than I'd suspected. We might have to make Liberty Belle the official mascot of CCF!

I was born in Holland, and I currently live in Holland. Now my only regret is that I never lived in Dozier, Alabama in between.

Born in Lewisville, Arkansas (county seat of where I'm from & location of what was then the only hospital ... it closed some years back)
Not sure where I lived as a toddler, but at least one place, from what my mother said, was Jonesboro, Ark. ... or maybe West Memphis, both over near the Mississippi on the other side of the state
From age 3ish-nearly 7 -- Stamps, Arkansas
Most of my 7th year (2nd grade), 8/66-5/67 -- Pine Bluff, Arkansas (my mother got a job as remedial reading teacher & librarian in a tiny elementary school outside the city; she lost it about 3 weeks from the end of the school year, so we moved back home)
End of 2nd grade all the way through high school, 5/67-8/77 -- Stamps 12/80 -- Magnolia, Ark., one county over (includes a couple of weeks in a horrible trailer in the backwoods near Emerson, Ark., & later a month or so sharing a house with another couple in a very small, aptly named town called Village)
First newspaper job -- 1-8/81, still in Magnolia
Grad school, 8/81-5/84 -- Phoenix, Tempe & Mesa, Ariz. (like most grad students we apartment-hopped by academic year), with the summer of '83 in Tucson for my internship with the U. of Arizona Press
Second newspaper job, 5/84-3/85 -- Magnolia again
Third newspaper job, 4/85-8/88 -- Little Rock through 6/86, at which point we bought our house in North Little Rock
Fourth newspaper job, 10/88-2/90 -- Slidell, La., across Lake Pontchartrain from New Orleans
Fifth newspaper job (combined with sixth, since I moved from covering the courts to serving as assistant city editor that first December), 2/90-2/01 -- North Little Rock again
Last newspaper job, Montgomery, Ala. -- 11/01-11/02, followed by unemployment through mid-2006, a retail job through mid-2006 & then my current job as online editor for a national federally funded nonprofit; I'm still here.
As I tell people, at this stage of my life home is where the mortgage is.

I was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama. Save for three months in 1983 when I lived in a small town near Houston, Texas, I've always lived right here on the Gulf Coast. We will speak no more of this! I kid. If I ever get the opportunity, I'm moving to the Pacific Northwest, either Portland or Seattle. I adore that part of the country.

Born in Hastings, Michigan and went to the Gulf Coast of Florida at about 5. Stayed for a little less than a year, then back to Hastings. Stayed there until about 11, then went back to Florida living in a small travel trailer in Placida, Venice, Kissimmee, then finally a house in Winter Springs outside Orlando. After I graduated High School, it was back to Michigan in Grand Rapids and again in Hastings.
After that, it was Navy Boot Camp in Great Lakes, Illinois, Data Processing School in San Diego, then stationed aboard a ship home ported in Charleston, South Carolina. Next was the Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island. It was while I was there I met and married my wife who was from just outside Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After my hitch was up, we moved back to Wisconsin and have been here since 1985.

Residences:
Born 2/20/63 in Brooklyn, NY, whereupon the family promptly moved out to Long Island.
In 1968 my mother, newly divorced, settled in Charlotte, NC.
In 1981, now age 18, I returned to Long Island (Levittown, Uniondale).
17 years later I returned to Charlotte. Except for a brief stint in Concord for work--less than thirty miles away--I’ve been here ever since.
And now for the oddity:
During my years as a NASCAR vendor, when the circuit left the South and headed north (Dover, Pocono, New Hampshire, even Michigan), I would stay with my bosses, sometimes for stretches up to six weeks. In total I might have spent more time there than at home because it's only a three-month off-season. So I should shuffle in:
Apollo, PA (Which is just outside of Pittsburgh.)
It also helps keep the Pennsylvania theme going.
