Thanks, everyone. I have sent a copy of this comic to the SCPA (Space Canine Patrol Agents) headquarters. Tail Terrier was on duty and has assured me that Superboy will be found and repeatedly struck on the nose with a rolled-up newspaper and then confined to his kennel. Because September 25 is National Comic Book Day, let’s celebrate in our cozy corner of the Multiverse by submitting covers that incorporate comic books into the design. The Cover Contest Constitution: Post one, and only one, classic cover that fits the theme of the contest. -Cover must be from a published comic book or collected volume published before January 1, 2006. -Covers must be posted before voting begins. -Voting takes place on Tuesday, September 27, beginning at 12:01am PST and ending at 11:59am PST -Vote by posting the name of the poster whose cover best fits the theme or that you simply like the most. -Put the name in bold. -The winner of the contest is the entrant with the most votes after the voting period ends. -The winner chooses the theme for the next week's contest. -If you don't think the cover fits the theme, don't vote for it; please don't post disparaging remarks about it. -If a cover is more recent than the Classic time frame, kindly point it out so that the poster can choose an alternate before voting begins. Herewith my entry:

I read and re-read what you are saying here Prince Hal and I don't get it at all. Because of that ... I'm not going to enter this contest this time around because I don't quite understand what you are conveying here.

Some great examples posted already. Please reconsider, okay?

That's hilarious! I have a feeling it's a lot funnier than anything inside the comic. But I could be wrong! I'm judging it by some Three Stooges comics from the 1960s that I vaguely remember from years ago.

I saw the thread and I looked at it to see what the theme was, and I decided to walk the dogs and think about it. (I wanted to get the dog-walking out of the way because it's very humid today and I figured there was a good chance it might get noticeably worse if I dawdled for a half an hour.)
I thought of two great covers (with Batman!) that I could choose from. And I get back home ... and they're both posted already! Batman #8 and Batman #199.
I'll find something.

I've loved this cover since the instant I saw it. Pre-Vertigo Grant Morrison with a wonderful Bolland retro DC cover and the Psycho Pirate looking totally freaky.
