Star Wars #24
So the elite Stormtroopers have caught up to and boarded the Rebels' stolen Star Destroyer (Which has no guns and is barely running). Leia realizes something is wrong and there's fighting all over the ship, while they try to essential ram the other Star Destroyers out of orbit before they notice.
The guy above is the guy that Luke fought earlier in the series when Grakkus the Hutt captured him (also seen in Poe Dameron)... that was pretty cool. Some great interaction between Luke and Saina (Who were trying to fix the guns when they found Stormtroopers), too.
The rebels are in trouble, and Vader is coming... the only bad part of this one is I have no idea how they can feasible not all die... so next issue should be interesting.
Plot: 4.5/5 Art: 4.5/5 Overall: 9/10

I agree! Assuming Marvel is continuing with 4 Star Wars titles at once.. they would be great in the mini-series spot after whatever will follow Han's mini.

I loved the positive spin they put on the Empire, I mean we know they're the bad guy's but the story about wanting t o be a Storm Trooper and the Empire saving him from a bad situation was great. I wonder how they're going to go after this, they've reached Empire Strikes Back but I wonder if they'll tell stories around that or skip to after the Force Awakens.

Yeah, after this storyline it seems like they might need to go in a new direction. I wouldn't might some stories a little before Force Awakens... they did skip ahead like 20 years. With that kind of time frame they could create their own characters and kill them off and have it work.

Judge Dredd #11 This is started to become the storyline that never ends... this totally felt like a filler issue... sorta like in an anime when they get behind and do a recap episode to catch their breath. Here, we get a summary of all the subtle hints on what happens to Mega City One and the green, and I guess confirmation that that's what happened... nothing else, though. Totally skipable, unless you were clamoring for a quick bio of Judge Berger. Plot: 1/5 Art: 4/5

Written by Nick Spencer. Art by Javier Pina. Cover by Paul Renaud. The issue alternates between flashbacks to Steve's altered past & the present day CWII. The good: as I thought when Cap was revealed to be a Hydra agent despite what caused it...Steve's innate goodness would come out somehow. Spencer is slowly showing what changed in Steve's altered history & his internal battle to somehow set things right. The art was decent. The bad: since I am not reading CWII I really don't care about the scenes involving it. But Spencer does a decent job explaining things so you have a general idea what CWII is about. This issue was a mixed bag for me. I really want to see more about Cap's altered past & his way of dealing with conflicted feelings. I also am hoping for a resolution to this storyline by #12. And a better costume. And Cap with his regular shield. Score: 6/10. Im wanting this book to be good, well wishing, and Im still wishing. One of the very few print books I get but not for much longer I think. I was real disappointed with the whole Hydra thing at the start, thought Id be nice and give him a chance, but the idea that no one has caught on to his fascistic tendencies since he was thawed out is ridiculous, or seen the big tattoo when his uniform has been ripped. Cos they changed his history right? So hes always been a little nazi right? So after all these years of fighting Skull desperately they were just a sham right? Think I just made my decision lol...too dumb for me...and falcap is a dull book too...Im off to read my Essentials to set the world back to where it should be... and now I sound like one of those naysayers who hate change, which aint the case, just hate this story.

Ms. Marvel #12 Kamala takes a trip back to her family in Karachi to try to figure out what's 'missing' in her life. I feel like we get one of these about once a year for Ms. Marvel.. it's a good character story, but it seems very similar to the last time. Some nice art, but the colors were very muddy, to the point where a couple panels actually blurred (perhaps that's just my copy). We do get a great Kamala design of her in Pakasatani-acceptable outfit, and a Karachi-based hero ,which is pretty fun. Overall good, but skippable. Plot: 3/5 Art: 3/5

Star Wars: Poe Dameron #7 Not really a Poe Dameron story at all.. but rather the intro to a new character, Journalist Surlinda Javos.. she's sort like Lois Lane, if Lois lane was a blue reptilian alien... I approve. This is essential her origin story.. hopefully she'll be recurring character.
