Old Curmudgeon was my goal! Make it so our imperious leading #1 Curmudgeon. And why not go with Friendly Neighborhood Curmudgeon?  And when did us curmudgeons start caring what the young punks think? Photon torpedo them all if they don't get the humor of it all. We are cranky and irritable and lived our lives anticipating the wearing of our mudgeon badge proudly and letting others bask in our cur-liness!!!! |

And why not go with Friendly Neighborhood Curmudgeon? That's brilliant, actually. But the concern remains that some of our newer users won't understand the humor or might find the ranking a sort of demotion. So I've removed the expiration date for making a request -- anyone over 1,000 posts can ask to be made an Old Curmudgeon at any time. No limitations. I don't want to take anything away from folks who already enjoy the rank, but I don't want to discourage or alienate those newer to our community who don't see themselves as curmudgeons and don't see anything positive about being seen as a curmudgeon either. I think this is a pretty fair way to balance those two interests. |

Oddly enough this morning when seeing the Friendly Neighborhood Regular tagline on the board i was reading it as Friendly Neighborhood Irregular. Maybe i need more bran and fiber in me diet eh?!? Still think it looks odd not seeing curmudgeon beside your name Shaxper  |

My oops Shax. Brain fried and tired are not a splendid combo in the middle of the week. Looove these long week days during the holiday season. Caffeine intravenously please on fast drip, thank you very much.
