would have loved to talk about Godzilla vs Kong. . . totally forgot Pick a day after work this week and we can talk about it in a meeting. I'm good after 7pm est. I think tartanphantom is not available Thursday evenings. Maybe we can even coax shaxper to join us if we mention Cerebus.

I have 8-11pm meeting tonight Wed have 9-11pm meeting (and start the day off with 7-10am meeting) Thurs have 8-11 pm meeting and Friday? turning in early because I have to get up at 6am Sat. to drive to San Antonio for that RollerCoaster event at SFFT (which is why I can't do the Sunday zoom call) so my only "free" night right now is Tuesday. .and I'm gonna be watching some TV shows that day.
but some other week, perhaps, when not so slammed.

Alas, that's a subject we eschewed... 1950's romance comics, though... Along with tormenting Icc for never having seen The Warriors. Geooooorge, come out and play, click click Geoooooorge.... HOW have he never seen the Warriors ?? the Baseball Furies are such easy cosplay, I see some of them at every convention (and often on Halloween) Icctrombone - you need to fix that.

Tartan Phantom and I brought up the Furies and verbally hit Icc over the head with the proverbial weapon of choice of the Furies LOL

I can’t make consistent boiled eggs to save my life. I end up obliterating the egg while peeling the shell half the time.

I can’t make consistent boiled eggs to save my life. I end up obliterating the egg while peeling the shell half the time. ok. . .easy peasy: 1) put eggs in saucepan, and cover with just enough cold water to cover the eggs (you dont' really want them floating, but you want them under the water) 2) put saucepan on stove and turn burner to high, and wait until rolling boil. 3) turn heat off.
4) place lid on saucepan, set time for 8 minutes, and walk away.
5) after 8 minutes, bring pan to sink, and dump hot water, refilling with cold water. . let sit in sink for 5 minutes.
then peel under slow dripping cold water.
perfect hard boiled eggs, and by peeling under cold water, the shells should basically just slide off.

I’ll try it when I get home. Sheesh

Step 6, toss the lot in the garbage, drive to Trader Joes, and buy a pack of peeled boiled eggs.
JK don't do that. It's quite expensive per egg.

I've been using one of these for years with great success:

And yet there are folks that willingly spend (waste) unnecessary money just for the sake of convenience/laziness. I'm amazed by this myself. My local grocery store will sell me unpeeled white onions at $1.29/lb or peeled ones at $2.29/lb (not even chopped, just peeled). Same with things like peeled and cut fruit such as canteloupe and pineapple, which are usually $3.99 whole or $4.99/lb cut. That's just some supreme laziness there. It takes ZERO effort to peel an onion, especially if you know what you're doing, so you're just giving them money to save you all of three minutes and maybe having to wash your hands an extra time.
