I dislocated my left shoulder yesterday. I have to use to use the hunt and peck methiiiod to type, because my left arm in an immobilzer (sling type thing). OUCH! Sorry to hear that. It would terrible for me as I am left handed (but I will be facing something similar if I get the medial-tunnel and carpal tunnel surgery done on my left hand that I need-I go for the EMG retest in about a week). Hoping for a quick recovery for you. -M

It's nowhere near as painful as when it was out of the socket though.

But that's different. It's not like that Lawrence Welk music them olds listened too. Lawrence Welk was too old-fashioned for my parents. My mother's grandmother was a big fan; they used to joke about how she'd call out, "Lawrence Welk's on!" as if she expected them to come running. My parents were more into operetta.
My impression of Lawrene Welk isn't so much as the representative of the music of older generations but rather an insufferably watered-down, sugar-coated, decrepit facsimile of it.

Does the fact that the Welk show is a mainstay of Oklahoma's (and Rhode Island's, to be fair) PBS station change your opinion? For me the Welk show is like the proverbial bad car accident.

Walking down stairs and missed the last step. I went hurtling forward & stuck my arms out. My left hand hit a heavy, wooden table. So my body kept going forward while my left arm got pushed back. It hurt like hell until it was "reduced" (put back in the socket).

Wanted to add my best wishes for a quick recovery (glad the pain is better though)! I feel like as I've gotten older, a missed or near-missed step on the stairs, while not a frequent thing, happens a tad bit more often than it used to.
