I now have habanero salsa on my shirt. Luckily it will be covered by my coat when I go back to Court.
I need a damn bib most of the time.

The cool autumn weather hit in earnest yesterday. So today when I woke up, my appetite was feeling very autumnish, so breakfast became cinnamon bread toasted with fresh maple butter (we stopped at a little Amish country variety store when we visited my wife's parents early last week and had a few delectables from there in the larder for when the weather finally read fall).

So, it's definitely that time of year.

We had our first sub-40 degree overnight this past Sat/Sun (10/17). Of course, it bounced right back up to the high 60's by noon, but we had the same thing last night-- our first real taste of Autumn so far... I can't wait-- love waving "bye-bye" to the excessive humidity in particular.

We've had lovely weather down here in Mobile too; lows have been in the 50's/highs have been in the 70's. It feels more like November/December than the middle of October

I got told last night that I looked like John Lemon of the Beatles. John Lemon!! 🍋 It made me laugh because although it was meant as a compliment, it could've also been a brilliant insult.
