I could not pass up a 25% off boot sale, especially when I have about three pairs of super cheap kicker boots that I need to retire. So I picked up a pair of black bull-hide and a pair of black cherry goat hide boots, for essentially $150 apiece. Goodyear welt construction so I can have them re-soled when I need to. Nothing exotic this time around...I'm saving up money for some upcoming travel. But these should be good everyday boots which will save wear and tear on my exotics.   |

So I just got off the phone with my former personal secretary from my old office. They just fired her and the receptionist. My secretary had been a legal secretary for over 45 years. She has more experience than everyone in the office combined and that includes all the attorneys and secretaries.
I ran that office for over ten years after my former boss retired. I never had an HR complaint and only ever had one client complain to the Board of County Commissioners. I'm so damn glad I got out, because I guarantee I'd have been canned by now...no way I would put up with this crap. But it still sucks to watch something you built destroyed in less than 90 days.
